Spacious Shaw 2 Bedroom - Walk to Botanical Garden & Tower Grove - Pet Friendly

Beautiful space with rich history. Dog friendly, very walkable with a coffee shop small store & a restaurant all within a short walk. Host was very courteous & quick to reply.

Everything was great.

Really quiet. Only downside, bathrooms need updated.

Very clean and kitchen well stocked with dishes but be aware no perishables like coffee sugar, salt and pepper dry creamer. Thankfully there is a bodega just a couple blocks walk away and we liked that place. Felt safe walking at night, ate at Sashas at Shaw as well. Owner was very quick to respond and we enjoyed staying here!

The place itself was fine - clean and well-located. However, it was the least well furbished place we have ever stayed. No shampoo, cream rinse, or body wash; the kitchen had no coffee, cooking oil, containers, foil or salt; the living room had no throw blankets. In addition, you are required to pay a nonrefundable damage deposit or an extremely large deposit that is returned at the discretion of the host. We have stayed in dozens of places over the last 20 years and have never had so few of the basics or a damage deposit that wasn't returned.

We were able to check in early which was great. Host was responsive day of. Neighbors were kind and helpful with food suggestions. Only issue we had was the neighbors smoked on the porch directly outside of the screen door for this unit making it a little gross to come and go as we are non smokers and the unit was listed as a smoke free property. Would stay here again.

The space was very nice and well-equipped for our needs during the weekend! The location was fantastic and it was overall a very quiet area. The two issues we had were that the upstairs neighbors were extremely loud until 4 AM both nights of our stay, preventing much rest for me or my parents. Additionally, the floors were dirty - our feet were black after walking around barefoot for an evening.

Overall this was a beautiful and cozy home. It could have a bit cleaner…dusty plants and behind furniture. The kitchen was well equipped but salt would have been appreciated! We did not use the laundry. We did have to contact the host as we blew a fuse twice! He also had to turn on the heat. He was very nice and helpful with those details. The neighborhood itself was very charming. Beautiful fall trees and a safe place to walk.

The apartment was spacious. Loved the old architecture, wood floors, tin ceiling. Lots of character. The bathroom door and window sill need painted. The paint on the railings going up the porch steps need sanded and painted. The porch steps were steep but manageable and need some maintenance because they are cracked. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Location is perfect to all things coffee shops, restaurants and activities. Enjoyed our stay in St Louis.

The house was very spacious and cozy, well decorated . Comfortable beds, would recommend new pillows. The location was very cute and quiet despite the tenant in A. If you are a light sleeper, id suggest ear plugs. Water pressure was good, water temp. was great! Nice having the washer and dryer. My only real complaint would be the bathroom. The toilet seat was loose, I tried to tighten but it may have been stripped. The door was dirty with some kind of splatter, could use a fresh coat of paint.I feel the house could have been cleaner for the price paid for cleaning. Kitchen cabinets and base boards need a good wipe down.Wish there would have been some cleaner to wipe down countertops and such after cooking. This house is a great option! Nothing a fresh coat of paint and a good wipe down wont fix!!

Check in was smooth and easy. Communication was good. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes & cooking utensils. Place was just as photos show. Great location. Safe quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking. If I find myself in St. Louis again I will gladly stay here!

Location was great. We were able to walk to many restaurants,Tower Grove Park, and Missouri Botanical Gardens. However, the lighting in the apartment was quite dim, the floors were obviously not thoroughly cleaned, and two of the windows were filthy. We could barely see out the front picture window due to the grime. Diem did offer to have cleaners come by to clean the floors but we declined as we had already unpacked and didn’t have time to sit around waiting. Also, we would have appreciated a dresser in the main bedroom. Upstairs tenants were loud and often smoking on the small front porch. As smoking and vaping are not permitted in both apartments, this was an unwelcome experience for us.

Property was exactly as stated. Lovely place and lovely neighborhood! Neighbors were very nice and so were everyone in neighborhood. Property manager was quick to respond and very helpful. I highly recommend. Will use again.

I was able to walk to tower grove park, botanical garden, and local coffee shops. Quiet neighborhood.

It was great. Centrally located in pleasant neighborhood between Arch/Children’s Museum and Zoo. Excellent communication with host and clean. We highly recommend.

Great location and safe neighborhood right next to the Botanical Gardens. Easy to get to all downtown STL activities. Apt could have a few more amenities like shampoo, etc - but otherwise clean and comfortable for a family of 4.

The place was easy to get into and was exactly as described. We enjoyed staying in the neighborhood and stopped at several nearby restaurants and cafes: Sasha's Wine Bar (lovely outdoor patio), Damn Fine Hand Pies (so yummy that we went twice), Fiddlehead Fern Cafe (coffee shop at the end of the block). The mid-century modern decor was nice, but the couches aren't exactly ones to sink into. That and the not super strong water pressure would be my only critiques. Overall, a great place to stay in STL that is centrally located to anything you'd want to see. We had a lovely Spring Break.

We had a lovely Christmas stay in this apartment! It was spacious, clean, and very well located in a nice neighborhood close to the Botanic Gardens and parks. It was very easy to communicate with the host, Diem. Highly recommend and would be happy to stay there again!

This was an OK place to stay. The location needs some interior work.

We were extremely impressed with this property and its central location. We were within 10 minutes of the places we visited: the Botanical Gardens, the Arch, and the Budweiser plant tour. We had one question during our stay and the homeowner answered our message to him within minutes. We highly recommend this property and homeowner!

Overall great place to stay. Great location and very clean. The only negative I noticed was the bathroom door could use a fresh coat of paint…an easy fix. Will definitely stay here again when visiting my son.

This little apartment is so cute, clean, accessable. The neighborhood it is in, makes the stay very special. If you are into architecture, flowers, gardens, quaint neighborhoods, this is the place to stay. Our host was extremely responsive. The apartment was very clean and organized. We had no issues with the property. It was accurate to the listing, and clean. It was a great location walkable to tower grove park, the botanical gardens, and some local restaurants. Safe neighborhood, we stayed with young kids and walked around the neighborhood without a second thought.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Liked the neighborhood and places close to the house. Wished we had a washer and dryer or more towels and wash clothes. But its a 5 star place and location.
