Live like a local in this gorgeous creole cottage built in 1823 that leads to a private courtyard.

We have taken great pride in our historic home and went to great lengths to make sure we restored it with as much original charm and integrity as possible. It has been professionally decorated with local art throughout. Studio Apartment with Full Bathroom and walk in shower, closet and living space.

The kitchen is state-of-the-art w/every amenity including travertine floors, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.

Each room has its own balcony. When you are finished wining, dining and dancing the night away to our famous jazz, walk back (home) and enjoy a nightcap on the balcony for the best 'people watching' in the world! The house also has a beautiful courtyard to enjoy your morning coffee or a Bloody Mary...we don't judge!! The ground floor of the building, true to Creole Cottage tradition, has been occupied by a corner grocery/deli since the early 1900's, it is open 24hrs in case you need a late night burger or a few incidentals.

So come to New Orleans and 'pass a good time' ya'll!!!! We have world renowned restaurants and a nightlife that has to be seen to believe! We've got festivals for anything you might think of and then we do Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest and Mardi Gras just to show the world how to throw a party!! We've got people so friendly you'll never forget them, jazz bands and food so good you might want to never leave! But just remember, when you get back home...you're gonna know what it means to miss New Orleans!!

We had a great time at this beautiful old home in the French Quarter. The balconies are great for a meal, hanging out and people watching. The courtyard is also a great hang out and relax spot. My husband loves to cook on vacation and the kitchen is great. We had a fabulous time here! The only disappointments were that the jacuzzi tub was not working and a table on the balcony was missing its top. (We found a creative remedy for that with very little effort, though!) Overall, we loved this place!!

This time around we brought a big float, and anchored in the middle of the river - we didn't see another person for hours! I cannot rave enough about the peace this place has to offer, not to mention private river access, and a cute (and cold/fabulous AC) cabin to go back to when the water adventures are done. This is truly a one-of-a-kind find, and I look forward to going back again & again.

This home is in an excellent location overall. On Bourbon and also close to French Market and Marigny. There is a deli downstairs with the basics and sandwiches. The courtyard and balconies were great. The street noise level was still there but less than a few blocks down Bourbon. Unfortunately there was a reconstruction process in the deli so the noise level was pretty annoying for 2 days. They did stop the overnight construction when they heard we were staying upstairs - very courteous :) Overall it was charming place with great neighbors and close to everything in the French Quarter!

We stayed her with another couple and had the time of our lives. This location could not have been more perfect. It is far enough down Bourbon to not be crazy loud l night. But still close enough to people watch from the balcony all night long. It is perfectly situation for an easy walk to the French Martket on Decatur, to Frenchman St, or to head up Bourbon St or Royal. Also only a few minute walk to Jackson Square. The property was located above a 24 hour convenient store/deli, which was great. We were able to pick up sandwiches on the way home from bars at any hour of the night. Courtyard was awesome, along with the garage bar. Highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there again next time I go.

We love New Orleans and this was a great way to enjoy the French Quarter. Location was central to tons of shopping and dinning. A beautiful property with so much character. Thanks for sharing it with us and letting us create great memories.

We had a stressful problem with this trip. The entrance to the property had a broken lock one night and without the help of a local tenant who heard our struggling, we would not have been able to get in. The next night we were gone all day, to return at 1130 pm and find that the lock had been replaced but that the code we had been given no longer worked. We were in a situation with almost no cell phone battery and no way to get into the unit. We contacted the owner via email not knowing whether she would even receive it at such a late hour. She did respond in about 15 minutes with a new code but did not offer an apology for changing the code without telling us. Obviously any stay in the French Qtr will be noisy, but if you stay here you should expect a lot of noise from the deli below which serves breakfast starting at 2:00am. You will want to have a sound machine and/or earplugs.

If you are considering renting this property just go ahead and stop looking any further, this place is absolutely stunning! My friend and I just spent a few days there this past week and were blown away by how beautiful it truly is. We spent hours just ogling the furniture and fixtures. To say the décor is beautiful is not simply enough-it is stunning! The location cannot be beat. It is on Bourbon Street with a great balcony for late night people watching but it is far enough out of the mayhem that you do not have to contend with the noise. It has a real neighborhood feel and you can tell that most of the surrounding places are lived in by locals who know each other well and always have a friendly wave for each other. I am already trying to figure out when I can book my next trip to New Orleans and, when I do, I will not even bother looking for anywhere else to call home. Thanks to the owners for the amazing and unforgettable opportunity to stay here!

We are returning home from a fantastic week in New Orleans. The character, comfort and convenience of this rental were a big part of a memorable trip. My family, including a 10-year-old and a 15-year-old, found this to be a perfect base for our week. The condo above the Quartermaster Deli is very old (The Oldest Creole Cottage in the French Quarter) and full of charm just like the city itself. It is clean, fully stocked, with ample space for the four of us. We enjoyed watching weddings come down the north end of Bourbon Street from the balcony. One day, during a afternoon “break” we were surprised by a local Junior High Marching Band coming up the street. Beds are comfortable, noise is a non-issue. Convenience is key for us, and we were able to walk to everything. Restaurants, shopping, tours (including a fantastic bike tour to the Garden District), streetcars to get just about anywhere (City Park, Oak Street), French Market, Frenchman Street, Jackson Square, The Treme, Armstrong Park...almost everthing was in walking distance or a short streetcar ride. The kitchen in the unit seemed pretty well stocked, but we really didn’t use it much...too many good local restaurants. If wondering about Bourbon Street with kids, the unit is at the “quiet” (relative) end of the party. If you want the scene of the Bourbon Street party it’s there.... If you don’t, it’s easy to walk around it. That said the kids enjoyed all of it. This was a perfect one-of-a-kind home for a week in a one-of-a-kind city. My only word of caution is that the car bar, while fantastic, is a car bar.... We were able to stuff a Honda Oddysey into it it’s some difficulty, but it’s probably more suited to a Mini. A fantastic stay. My krewe is looking forward to another visit, and we’d stay here again. Prondre du bon temps.
