While the property was pleasantly secluded and very quiet, it was a short 10 minute drive into town to enjoy breweries, shopping, restaurants, and gorgeous views. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I were in dire need of getting away from it all. This property was beautiful. The mountain views and the fresh air were so good for us. The property was clean and lovely. We appreciated the little touches of cold water bottles, beautiful kitchen and other linens, and other additional touches on our arrival. The hot shower has a contemporary design we appreciated. The trek up to the house was exciting. The property is on a mountain and their are twists and turns. You have to go slowly as it is one lane but we easily navigated our Grande Cherokee up to the property. If you need a place to stay to explore the Carolinas, Tennesse and Georgia, or if you need a place to rest and regroup, this is a perfect place to stay.

Nicely laid out interior with a private deck to enjoy the views. Bed and pillows were very comfortable after a day of hiking. Highly recommend the hike to Rufus Morgan Waterfall and the drive to Wayah Bald Tower/lookout.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. Very clean and looks just like the pictures! Loved the view. Driveway was a little step, but that is expected with any mountain house. Was tight fitting in a bigger truck( f250) but we still fit....we just backed up the entire driveway because we would not have been able to turn around very easily with guest in the other parking spots in the front of the house. Overall, we loved our stay and definitely would come back.

Enjoyed the stay - loved the view! The drive into the Highlands is an amazing treat for outdoor enthusiasts. The driveway leading up to the property is narrow and step so be prepared for that!!

This place was pretty - when we pulled in, we were confused - it's two rentals in the same building and ours was on bottom floor (probably my misunderstanding!) The drive up to the house is a very steep, one-lane gravel road. It was pretty intimidating driving up it at night because it was pitch black - plus there is a sharp left turn uphill to the house. The parking in the back was hard to get into/out of - you can only pull straight in and then you have to back up down the steep hill (unless your car is super small and you get it turned around somehow). When someone is parked outside the upstairs rental (which is the view you get in the photos online) it makes it impossible to turn around, but when that spot was empty I was able to maneuver it. The view was gorgeous and if I didn't have to leave the whole time (which we had to because there is not a full kitchen, so you can't cook anything other than microwavable food), it would be a great place to stay. Very clean - comfortable bed.
