Beautiful apartment with lovely views. Very comfortable and fully equipped with everything you would need. Great access to beach, although Steep hill back up. Would definitely return.
Very quiet and relaxing area. 5 Minutes to the beach with restaurants and bars but even in summer not too busy. Rent outs for watersports. Next supermarket is about 10 Minutes to walk, so is the station and the Busstop. Easier with a car but ok. Apartment is well equiped although there is no salt or oil, like basics to cook. They organised my a hairdrayer as theirs has disappeard. Would book again.
We have just stayed at the apartment and it was fantastic ? Definitely be booking again
Lowena was the perfect gateway for us . We enjoyed the proximity to public transport, the short walk to Carbis beach ( we don’t mind hills) and relaxing stroll into St Ives. There is a large Tesco up the hill for kitchen basics( nothing provided in the flat) . Beautiful outlook , comfortable and quiet flat .
The flat was clean efficient and comfortable. Very convenient for Carbis Bay beach and a good quick train line to St Ives. Beware the hill if your are elderly but manageable ..
This property was ideal for our purposes. It was very clean, with fresh decor, comfortable beds and all the equipment we required. It was still quite cool in March but once heated up the room heaters kept the flat warm and the over bath shower was hot with good pressure. The beautiful view over the bay and the railway track was a delight. The walk into St Ives along the coast path takes about 30 mins and is very pleasant. Equally fun is the short £1 train ride between Carbis Bay and St Ives. Otherwise you really need the car to get from the apartment to local shops, pubs etc as it is a long, steep walk up the hill. Loads to see and do in the area esp if the weather is kind. We had a lovely week, and would be happy to return to the area and the property.
Generally very good, we had few minor issues. One of us found the 'severe' drive more frightening than severe. There are too many lights visible from the bedroom at night if you like a dark bedroom. The shower was not up to the standard of the rest of the apartment. Overall we enjoyed our weeks' stay in December, it's a short walk to St Ives. A regular train is also available with the station a few minutes walk away. We would consider staying again, the apartment was warm , cosy and well appointed.
The premises were spotlessly clean as were all appliances and facilities. The interior design and decor were modern, visually matching and most comfortable. All you could need was provided. The views over the bay are simply stunning with seals frequently being seen near the beach. As with most locations in Carbis Bay the premises are located on a hill. Walking anywhere means steep uphill or downhill routes. The driveway to the property was the steepest I have ever driven on and could benefit from a roadside mirror part way up the hill as the drive way is not wide and does have a bend in it. The allocated parking bay is in a corner and is very tight to access/exit. The situation was eased by one of the other visitors kindly adjusting his parking position so as to ease our access/exit. There is a private footpath leading down to the beach and restaurants, the railway station and the coastal path leading to St Ives in one direction or Lelant and Hayle in the other. The train service to St Ives costs £1 each way. There are frequent buses along the main St Ives road The owner and agent were easy to communicate with, both having obvious helpful personalities. I would have wished that the times of premises entry/departure could be flexable, a 6pm entry is too late and a 9am departure is too early. We enjoyed a wonderful week.
The property was very clean, furnished very cosy. Beautiful views.
