San Marco Casa -apartment with garden in the historic center - Venice

This is a challenging review to write because some elements of our stay were outstanding and others were poor. The location of the apartment is perfect. Very centrally located. Easy to walk everywhere. There is some noise from above and people passing by, but nothing that prevents sleeping, etc. The patio is charming, even in cold weather. Elisabeth, the host, could not be more helpful. She arranged for our water taxi upon arrival and departure and even went out of her way to arrange an evening sight seeing water taxi for us on New Year's Day. The down side was that the apartment was not clean. Lots of dust on furniture, sticky something on the counter and most concerning there were alot of black hairs a number of places---on the floor, in the shower, on the sheets on the pull out. I had to wash the sheets the evening of our arrival to feel comfortable with our daughter sleeping there. One additional note: the apartment says it sleeps 4. The beds are really designed for 3 people. The bedroom has a double bed (for 2) and the pullout in the living rom is really only meant for 1 person--unless you are using it for 2 young children.

This apartment is just perfect for two people. Having two bathrooms is really helpful and the garden area was a favorite. Elisabetta was a wonderful host and helped us so much during our stay. We truly enjoyed our time in her place.

Spacious and wonderfully cozy apartment within easy walking distances of main attractions areas like san marco. Importantly resides within easy landmarks making navigation a bit easier as well, but aometimes can be busy at night if you are a early bedtime individual. Elisabetta was quick and easy to communovate with. She was a wealth if information and naswered all questions including questions about best ways to get around thenl city and which taxi boat dropoff/pickups to choose. Honestly, she was one of the best host we have had on our trip in Europe, whoch makes a big difference. Would recommend.

We loved everything about this property, from the location to the private courtyard! The owner was very helpful and very prompt to respond. We would love to stay here again for a longer visit.

The apartment was in a great location! Great to get to see all the sights you want to see! Elizabeth was a great host, very communicative! The apartment itself is amazing with a peaceful terrace and very home away from home feel! We would love to stay again!

The location is terrific-very close to everything in historic Venice. It is spacious and comfortable. The owner was very helpful- meeting us at the dock and walking to the flat.

Communication with our host, Elizabetta, was awesome from the time of booking through the end of our stay! We had never been to Venice before, and she was super helpful in getting our water taxi reservations, and explaining the process. We had unforseen delays getting to the city, and Elizabetta remained 'on call' to ensure our arrival went smoothly. The apartment was small, but quaint. It was perfect for our short atay. The location was amazing. It was a short walk to St Mark's square, and there was shopping, bars, and restaurants very nearby. We lo ed our time in Venice, and we truly appreciated all the help feom Elizabetta!

Though our time in Venice was too short, we really enjoyed our visit. We are grateful to our gracious host, Elisabetta, for her beautiful accommodations which were perfectly suited for my family and were centrally located to all the attractions which were so easily accessible by walking or by taking the nearby waterbus. Elisabetta was always available and communicated greatly with us throughout our booking as well as during our stay and provided us with fantastic restaurant recommendations. Thank you again for hosting our stay.

We loved our stay here! Elizabetta was very helpful, she was in contact with us days before our arrival! The apartment location is excellent and really close to the water taxi station. If we ever go back to Venice, we'll be staying here again.
