Salty Smiles at Shipwatch on Amelia Island

I had a wonderful host and the amenities were top notch as well.

Michelle is an excellent host. She sent us a welcome package before our arrival, checked on us throughout our stay to ensure that we had everything we needed and provided special touches with a variety of coffee, snacks and waters. We had a very relaxing time and the condo was in very nice condition.

We had a wonderful stay. The home was beautiful, very clean, and in a great location. We especially appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas provided for guests. It made our beach days so easy and enjoyable.

The property was fantastic and very comfotable, however it was not very handicap accessible as it was portrayed in the listing. One of our guest was wheel chair bound and it was very problematic for us going in and out. This would have easily been 5 star rating if it had not been for that.

We had a wonderful time during our stay! The rental was stocked with all we needed! Michelle was extremely responsive and addressed any questions ASAP! Don’t think twice when considering this rental! Book it before it is gone! Wonderful, cozy and welcoming place to call home… even if only for a short while.

Our experience was fantastic! The condo was just as described. We appreciated all of the extras to make our visit great, such as beach chairs and umbrella. Even though it was mid-summer, the beach and pool did not feel crowded. I could sit on that balcony and gaze at the water forever...

We really enjoyed our stay at Salty Smiles. I stayed here with my kids (19 and 21). Everything you need for a great beach vacation is provided (even a jar of snacks!). Beach chairs, pool floats, sand toys, umbrellas, etc all in the closet and in great shape. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this condo! It was our first time on Amelia Island and also our first major trip with our 2 year old. Michelle was so helpful and very responsive. She provided an amazing Canva file before we arrived with tons of helpful, detailed information about our stay. The location of this condo is excellent, overlooks the pool, beautiful ocean view, pretty easy walk to the beach and access to many of the Omni resort amenities. The kitchen has every cooking tool you could ever want/need and the whole condo is well stocked with beach supplies and other supplies! We especially appreciated the Safety 1st booster seat and the pack and play for our toddler (if you have a particular toddler and own a padded mattress for the pack and play I would recommend bringing it as this one just has the standard pad the pack and play comes with… a question I had before our arrival). My only disclaimer which we were aware of before our stay as Michelle makes it clear this is NOT a handicap friendly location, is there are a LOT of stairs. There’s stairs to get into the condo no matter which way you go, stairs inside the condo (bedrooms on the bottom floor, kitchen/living room up a flight of stairs), at least 3 flights of stairs to get to the beach. If you have any issues with stairs this is not the place to stay (as someone who is pregnant with a toddler I was definitely feeling it haha)! Otherwise, we highly recommend this Amelia Island property!!

Wonderful area, super clean pool, lovely beach and very nice unit. Great stay!

Very nice condo to stay in. Close to restaurants. Elevator does not stop on either condo floor. Light in main bedroom closet burnt out. Second bathroom on lower level is hard to close. We replaced the screws in the lower level door latch plate. Door is still very tight. Dining room chairs could use felt strips - other condos as well.

Amazing stay at shipwatch Amelia Island. Host was extremely attentive and helped with any questions we had. We’ll accommodated nothing more you could ask for. Very clean and well appointed. The views were amazing our week was too chilly to enjoy the pool and beach but we had plenty of games and enjoyed staying in with our family! Can’t wait to return to enjoy all the outdoor activities! Make sure to check out the free nature bldg!

The property is in a beautiful location. The owner was very helpful and prompt with responses. We had a great weekend.

We’ve vacationed in Amelia Island several times, but this was next level! This property is *just* like the listing - warm, inviting, and perfect for a family vacation. Michelle has thought of everything and more, from travel toiletries to a closet full of beach supplies. I can’t wait to sip coffee and watch the sunrise on the back porch again in the near future!

Not the place for a cook - no external cooktop exhaust. Can open doors to vent but all floors condensate due to humidity. Primary bed hard as a rock. Clean but remodeled for rental - bath and kitchen fixtures not in line with property price point. No elevator service to unit - either half flight down or whole flight up. Primary bath towel rack not present. Do not rent if claustrophobic - primary shower is approx 7ft in height and 5-ft in width and water flow is minimal - not a lux feel. Second step on stairs is a lawsuit waiting to happen - 8' tread rest 12'. View is as pictured but no long rang views - but private.

Very nice unit. Well appointed. Slight problem with drain flies and unpleasant odor. Probably the nature of the location.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The condo was just as described which was so comfortable. The morning sunrise view from the balcony was amazing. I found myself waking up early just to see the beauty unfold. All of our questions were answered within minutes! You’ll love everything about this condo.

It was beautiful

Omni Amelia Island is always a dynamite spot for family and friends. Condo was perfect for a family of 4. Super clean and easy access to the facilities. Walking distance to the restaurants and amenities.

My family and I had another great stay in Shipwatch hosted by Michelle. We had previously stayed at another one of her properties in Shipwatch and this one was just as wonderful. We especially enjoyed the pool and the large balcony. Highly recommend staying at any of Michelle's properties.
