Rustic Rapid City Farmhouse w/ Mountain Views

Beautiful place… You won’t be disappointed.

We stayed in this beautiful spot for 5 nights in mid-September. Absolutely loved it. Perfect location as home base for our day trips to Black Hills, Custer, Devils Tower, etc. Close enough to Rapid City to get what you need, but hidden in the winding hills outside of town - really an ideal location. Beautifully renovated farmhouse, rustic cabin-feeling, ideal for couples, one-room with a king bed and kitchen, two smaller rooms for bathroom and laundry. Bed was great, shower was fantastic, more towels than you'll ever need, kitchen had tons of tools, we did our laundry at the end - it just felt like every detail was thoughtfully considered. There's a big lovable Great Pyrenees who guards the chickens and a barn cat with 6 kittens when we were there - my girlfriend was in heaven with all the sweet animals around. Located amongst old barns that sit on the property behind the owner's farmhouse - we had total privacy and never needed to contact the owners for anything - they really thought of everything and arriving and departing we easy. I read all the other reviewers saying how you won't be sorry if you choose this place, and I'm now one of the believers as well. 10 out of 10, would stay there again.

We had such a wonderful time at this VRBO! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. Our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and at home. They were so kind, thoughtful, and welcoming—it honestly felt more like visiting close friends than staying at a rental.One of the highlights of our stay was getting to know their sweet dog, Nova. She’s such a gentle, friendly soul and loved hanging out with us. We also got to meet their cats and some playful little kittens, which added even more joy to our visit. It was such a heartwarming, homey experience.The space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. We’d absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for more than just a place to sleep—it’s a true home away from home. Thank you for sharing your space (and your animals!) with us!

The area is beautiful, the Farmhouse was immaculate, spacious and a great size! The family was delightful and the dog was welcoming. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rapic City.

We so enjoyed the opportunity to stay at your beautiful Homestead- everything was absolutely lovely- from the hot coffee (and bonus creamer in the fridge) to the heated floors- dreamy shower- comfy big bed- to the animals that greeted us- and the gorgeous walking trails right out the door- it's everything we could have ever wanted-it made for the perfect weekend to relax and get away- thank you so much for opening your beautiful space to us- we really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again!!

We loved staying at the Little Homestead. The hosts communicated well and provided booklet of info on the Little Homestead and fresh eggs. The animals were wonderful - Nova their dog was so friendly. A beautiful place and views.

This property was awesome. Beautiful scenery, great hosts, not too far from Rapid.

The place is just like in the pictures, secluded and private. peaceful and quiet, the dog is just like they mentioned, a gentle giant. Host and Hostess are super friendly, and they will answer any question. We will definitely be back with so much to do around the area!!!

My husband and I stayed here the 3rd - 5th February 2023 and we loved it! I’ve lived in rapid my whole life and have always wanted to get a place in the hills and this cabin sold it for me! Everything was clean, modern and our favorite part was the shower, my husband is 6’5 and struggles to find showers that fit but this shower head moves over 2 feet above his head! The floors are heated which was amazing! The fresh farm eggs were a great bonus. The king size bed was chef’s kiss! The view was amazing as well and not far from one of my favorite hiking spots! Was affordable and definitely a better option than a hotel! My hubby was sad about the tv size but we ended up not using it at all and it motivated us to just focus on each other. We were originally looking for a place with a hot tub but are so glad we found this little homestead! The owners are kind and definitely put a lot of thought and care into making their home feel like yours! Their dog nova made our trip that much better, always there when we got back ready the greet us and nova even joined us for our out door spur of the moment dance! The cats were adorable and rolled around in the snow as we had our morning coffee ? Sorry this was so long and thank you again to the hosts for making our stay amazing ❤️
