Rural apartment located in natural surroundings and close to the beach

The property was perfect, clean, wonderfully equipped spacious and in spectacular surroundings. We loved the farm an the hospitality of the family and can’t wait to return but hopefully for longer, Fabienne & Cyril

Clean and tidy apartment with a great view. There are several apartments here and we stayed in the two bedroom one which was well suited for our needs. Great price.

We recently spent four days at Casuca Rubia in La Aparecida Cantrabria. The whole experience with Irene through Homeaway and the reservation process, even though I spoke no Spanish, worked well. When we arrived Irene made sure we were settled in without a problem and the apartment itself was very lovely, clean and had all the necessities we needed. The unexpected gift of fresh eggs delivered by Irene allowed us to enjoy morning omelets while enjoying the views from the floor to ceiling windows on the first floor. The Wifi worked excellently which was important for us as one of our party needed to complete some work while away. The views were wonderful and we found the whole experience relaxing and restoring after being on the road for almost 2 weeks. Being in midst of farms, cows, and a restful atmosphere made our vacation perfect. The location made our trips to Bilbao, the Basque areas and the northern coastal towns like Castro Urdiales easy and manageable. Finding the local restaurant, Solana, a Michelin starred restaurant in town (basically around the corner) was an unexpected treat. If we return to Spain we would certainly want to return to this lovely apartment. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We had a wonderful holiday. Irene and her family were very welcoming and helpful. The apartment is very artistically furnished and in a beautiful position between the mountains and the coast. There are beautiful views All around There are beautiful beaches, prehistoric caves and historic towns within easy reach as well as the cities of Santander and Bilbao. There are also markets at Laredo and Santona as well as lots of lovely tapas bars. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would recommend it without hesitation. We had a lovely time in this 2-level apartment. We loved the bedrooms and the very comfortable beds. We also loved the stone walls and wood ceiling beams. The surrounding villages are all very beautiful. Irene and her family were very helpful and accessible. We used Google translator to communicate everything because we do not speak Spanish. It was a challenge, but I enjoyed the challenge! Thank you Irene, we would love to return!

Beautiful house in a stunning location - in good walking / cycling counrty, yet still a short drive to the beach. The owner could not do enough for us and made us very welcome. We have never come across anyone more helpful or welcoming in many years of travel. The apartment itself was very comfortable, clean and well laid out. A communal area and pleasant outdoor area well also great. The only downside was the flies (fortunately not a biting variety). If the windows had been open for any time we tended to have to spend about 10 minutes killing them around the apartment - although good exercise, perhaps a plug in lamp (UV zapper) in the appartmet would be useful.
