Rouladina Apt 5

Very nice housing, cool pool, very clean bc of service, easy communication and we loved the stay there. The mattress are pretty hard and uncomfortable. We had some harder time sleeping on those, so maybe a more modern mattress and a better slatted frame would help. Pillows too…

This was such a convenient spot to many of the popular attractions on Crete. We rented a car but also caught the bus so easily as the bus stop was just down the street.The view from our unit was stunning and it was so spacious, clean and quiet. Our hosts were so friendly and kind and the management company sent us helpful information about directions, check in, area activities, transportation, etc. We preordered quality groceries that were waiting for us when we arrived and we really appreciated that service!The beach, shops, and great Tavernas were within walking distance but you felt like you were in a neighborhood away from the loud congested areas.It really suited our needs and was just right in every way!

We loved the setting and situation. For us it was the right distance and right side of Chania and we very much enjoyed having a car, as well as enjoying the local bus service. The Cretan hospitality is lovely, I only hope it’s not spoiled by having too many tourists as in many places. A lighted sign for any one turning up in a car at night

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The location was perfect and the apartment was beautiful. We especially loved the balcony and the pool. Thank you to our hosts for a wonderful stay!

The property owners were easy to work with. We came in very late and still had no issue getting our key or entering our apartment. There are restaurants and grocery stores about a five minute walk from the property. There are beaches within six minute walk, but the reallly nice beach is a five minute drive. The pool and views were very nice. We did a ton of driving to see the various places around the island, and had a great overall time in Crete.

Everything Unimprovable!

Spacious apartment with good kitchen equipment. Nice balconies with great views. Pool towels included and during our 10 nights we had two cleans with towel and bedding changes which was great. One air con unit over the entrance door in the living/kitchen area, no aircon in the bedrooms so hot in August when it was well over 32+ degrees, beds are pretty hard . Close to bars/reataurants and the beach with bars. Free sunbeds in front of some of the beach bars if you buy drinks/food from them just check the boards. Yanis beach is 10 minutes away by car or can get a bus straight there on the main road, plenty of free parking even when busy, this is a lovely beach in a cove and 2 beds and a brolly is 10-12 euros. Chania old town is a must with beautiful harbour with boat trips and lots of gorgeous shops and restaurants and bars, this was our favourite place and is about 20 minutes by car or €18 one way in a taxi and the bus is easy to catch. Nice apartment with lovely pool area, close to beach and amenities, definately recommend.

Getting up early to stand on the balcony and watch the sun rise above the Akrotiri and gleam across the Gulf of Chania. Priceless. And the lovely clean pool, and the bougainvilleas, and the lovely owners. The sun umbrellas by the pool can’t be moved and are mounted in the centre of their tables. That’s lovely if you want to sit at the table in the shade. But it doesn’t work well if you are on a sunbed and want to get some shade. Maybe one or two more umbrellas that can move around? Or that you can get up close to. I can see there’s perhaps a downside to that, though.

Pretty much everything. The pool is excellent and the management are delightful. Hard to think of anything that could be better

Our favourite place, in Greece and a lovely and welcoming family of owners, who we now know so well after years of staying at Rouladina 5. Excellent apartment, with all that we might need and more. Dimitra, Manolis and their daughter Dina really do show true Cretan hospitality and are lovely and interesting people. The location is excellent and the views are a joy. All that we need for a break away from the UK (especially after missing out last, lockdown, year). Very good tavernas, too, within 2 to 10 minutes away. We are 'up the hill', from the bustle of the busier beachfronts of Kato Stalos and Agia Marina - but it's all there when you want it. Chania is only a bus ride or a 20 minute drive away and is one of the loveliest towns in Greece.
