Stayed Oct 3, 2024This is our third stay with Rosi and as usual a lovely and relaxing place to wind down after attending Spiel in Essen - a massive gaming show. It is a pleasure to stay in such a nice property and in such an lovely village in a very interesting part of the world. We want to come back. :)

Stayed May 3, 2023We could not have picked a better place to stay! Rosie thought of every possible thing we might need. The apartment was very clean, well equipped, very comfortable and convenient for us! Every morning I looked forward to seeing the new blooms in her beautiful garden! Thank you Rosie for making our stay very special!

Stayed Oct 6, 2022We had a fantastic week in Roswitha's lovely property. Just 30 minutes from the bustle of Essen, this charming top floor apartment had everything we wanted. Space, comfort and beautiful garden to look over from the balcony. Langenberg was a charming hilly village with cobbled streets and 16th Century houses. Roswitha was helpful and an ideal host. We certainly want to return.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed here a week, using it as a central location to visit places in the area. We did day trips to Koln, Duisburg, Aachen, and Xanten. There were also spots close by to visit. The apartment was perfect for us. It was quiet, very clean and there were a lot of extras. Our son (15 years old) slept on the sofa chair in the living room and said it was so comfortable! Roswitha was very helpful and made us feel right at home! The town was quaint with windy cobblestone streets. There is a grocery store just down the road (walking). We had a little difficulty finding the location because the GPS (Navi) would send us to the middle of a little tunnel. We finally figured out the house was situated on a hill in the town above the tunnel. It was a great choice and we would definitely stay here again!!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969To say that Roswitha was a perfect hostess would be a gross understatement. The apartment is absolutely lovely with everything you could possibly need. The view out the front is what you would picture on any postcard of the German country side and the back balcony has the most beautiful view of her gardens while you enjoy your coffee. I was in Dusseldorf for a Trade Show. This was an easy 40 minute drive to the show and provide a nice location to visit Koln and Brussels for day trips. The walk down the cobblestone hill in the morning to the bakery was a great way to start my day and there were a few restaurants for dinner followed by a a quick stop at the ice cream store. I loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone. It gave me a taste of true German life while access to my work and tourist locations. I, personally, enjoyed the quiet. I would recommend having a car though. Take time out and spend it here!!!!
