Small space, bed is comfortable, kitchen is clean, you may hear your neighbours, location and parking are great
nice clean and had all the kitchen utensils. bathroom door only opens about 18
Room wasn’t cleaned when we arrived. Reimbursed us for dinner while it was cleaned. Ate at Peter Trouts in walking distance. Great meal. Room was nice and walking around the harbor. Great location
The images of this property are beautiful...and a bit deceiving. That said, we only slept there, so it was okay, and relatively convenient to town. When we entered the driveway, we passed a dumpster that was overflowing with rubbish. As we made our way to the unit, the lawn area was unkempt, and there were two pillow cases over two shrubs. With the cleaning fees and the booking fees, I expected a bit more. The place was clean, but definitely in need of some maintenance. Won't be staying there again.
House was clean. Dedicated parking spot. Close to town. Close to Arcadia.
The unit wasn't very clean. Half eaten dessert in microwave, curly hairs in the bathroom sink,(many!) the beding was dirty (obvious that it hasn't been changed since the last person had slept in it, the bed was horrible and worn out. There is no view and it's hard to find. The only thing I enjoyed about it was the proximity to a cool pub. I could drink enough to go back to bed. Way overpriced and while trying to contact the management company, no one would pick up phone or return calls. I have them an opportunity to correct the issues, but they apparently have no pride in their work. Will never stay there again! Someone is making a lot of money by pulling the will over people's eyes with false advertising. I've started in Los of places and have never been so upset over the lack of customer service.
Cleanliness: Feet were filthy after walking around. As the temperature increased so did the smell behind the fridge. Check in: The lockbox was broken. Had to hunt for the key. Listing: A wish list on their part. No view. No romantic area anywhere. The apartment was on the backside of what may have been a storage building. The view was of a gravel parking area & another warehouse. Communication: There was to be a local manager. Trying to get in touch with him was futile. Voice mail box was full & could not leave a message. Contacting the 'home' office about a property they knew nothing about & couldn't help us. We had asked to get a fan as there are only windows on one side...the one with the view of gravel. We were told that a fan was not listed as one of the allotted amenities. I asked where was the view as it was listed as an amenities? They hung up on me. Location: The building was on the quiet side of the island but it was on the backside of an old commercial building. Overall: I would never stay there again. The inside was cute. The outside was a joke. Move on to another listing.
This home is all you need for an affordable place to rest while exploring nearby Acadia. The place was very clean, and the kitchen was handy as well. We had to unplug the fridge to get to sleep because of the noise it made, but otherwise really enjoyed our stay here.
Property was clean and everything worked as described. Great location. Within 30 min of every attraction on Desert Island.
We had an amazing time during our 3 day stay. The studio was as advertised and very comfortable. We loved how close we were to Bar Harbor and the hiking trails in Acadia.
We came for a couples getaway. The apartment is behind and below another larger apartment. It's very quiet. However, no view at all! Its across from the ocean but because its behind and connected to another building, you can see nothing. There is no outdoor space to sit and enjoy a view. We did have problems with wifi when we came, but a call to Vacasa quickly fixed that. Very nice customer service. We couldn't seem to get the a/c or heat to kick on. We weren't uncomfortable, so we didn't address it too seriously. The entrance to the bathroom is blocked by the bed. Still able to get in and out, but it's odd. TV is a little janky. But it worked, for the most part. The shower is small, like an RV. Clothing closets are in an exterior hallway, so be sure to wear clothes as you go to get your clothes. Overall, great place to stay if you aren't hanging out at the apartment too much! It's updated cute!
We loved cooking meals in the well-equipped kitchen. Great location and the studio has all you need for a home base if you’re planning on going on lots of adventures on the island. The only issue we had was that the bathroom needs ventilation - it would get pretty musty smelling after we showered.
