Stayed Aug 2, 2025I almost don’t want to share this secret as I definitely want to return, but this beautiful property is an island paradise. Great comfortable bed, aircon, spectacular location, and our gracious hosts communication made everything easy. If you’re super lucky she may even make the amazing apple cake she treated us to on the jetty. It was sublime. A full size oven an extra treat for cooking meals.

Stayed Sep 10, 2022Lovely Apartment on the top floor of the house, beautiful views, ideal for 2 people. The island is just beautiful, exactly what we wanted as a couple, very chilled and relaxed, the family were just fantastic and gave us plenty if privacy, but we're there if we needed anything,( had made us beautiful apple cake) would recommend this accommodation 100% ,just 5*.. sorry we had to leave.

Stayed May 25, 2017The Kennedys from West Australia. 23/05/2017 to 08/06/2017 Ante and his family were really lovely hosts. We received some lovely home made cake, from Ante's wife. The appartment was exactly as portrayed. It was also in a great location, on Kolocep. Ante told us some history about the place and about how Kolocep was, for fishing, etc when he was growing up there. We loved staying on Kolocep, so peaceful. Swam everyday, Hiked all over the island and generally had a great time. Went into Dubrovnik, a few times but couldn't wait to return to Kolocep. Stayed for 2weeks and enjoyed every minute. Visited Lopud, next island over, which is a lovely island too. Thankyou Ante and family for having us Sandra&Graeme

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We've just come back from a wonderful holiday on Kolocep Island. The island chain is probably the most unspoilt place we have been to - beautiful, peaceful and very relaxing. We found enough to do for the week we were there, walking, swimming and visiting Dubrovnik Old City as well as the other islands and we would definitely return. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, providing gorgeous cake from a family celebration. Also, my partner left his phone in the taxi. Ante's daughter arranged to pick it up and she brought the phone to the island the following day. The apartment is in the loft space at the top of the house and was spotlessly clean. There is a super king-size bed which is great but bear in mind the limited headroom which renders much of the space in the apartment unusable. We are not tall people and still banged our heads several times. We were able to use the large terraced area downstairs but this is shared with the two other apartments. Personally, I would make an opening in the end wall of the living room providing a private west facing balcony and this would bring a lot more light into the property. There would then be a means of escape in the event of a fire - there are currently only two small windows in the apartment overlooking the sheer drop to the water and rocks. The kitchen could be relocated too, at present there are no sockets and we had to boil the kettle on the floor in the living room. Because eating out is a little bit limited, we would have liked to have had some more facilities and equipment to prepare food ourselves.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Being ourselves in the rental business in the south of France, we know we can be picky and have high expectations sometimes. And what a surprise to see that everything was perfect from the first to the last minute during this wonderful stay on Kolocep/Kalamota island. The location is absolutely stunning with beautiful views from the bedrooms/apartments. Very peaceful and ideal for a relaxing holiday. The island is so charming and peaceful, far from the touristy crowd of Dubrovnik but still very easy to reach by boat when you want to do sightseeing or more action. The house itself is beautiful, full of history with old stones walls, renovated with taste to add comfort and privacy, nice gardens. I should not speak so highly of this rental as I would like to keep it the way it is now, a small hidden gem but they do truly deserve it. A special mention to the very delicate owners, Ante, Nina and all the Svilokos's family working in harmony together. They made us feel truly welcome and at home right away. They were very attentive, helpful and so kind to us throughout our stay. It was very hard to leave and hope to be back soon. Thanks again for everything. Catherine and René from France

Stayed Dec 31, 1969On arriving on the island of Kolocep we were blown away by how beautiful and unspoilt the island is. Mena met us off the ferry and Ante took our bags by boat to the house. We stayed in the romantic apartment; it had all that you could need and lovely and cool, with fantastic views across the bay. Ante and his family made us feel most welcome and were always on hand without being intrusive. My husband and son both enjoy fishing, Ante took them fishing on his boat and put down wire traps in the sea, which we took great pleasure snorkelling out to check on. We had a great fish supper with what they caught. Our holiday was wonderful and the Svilokos family are lovely, caring people. We were there for 2 and a half weeks and it started to feel like home. It really is a beautiful place made even better with marvellous hosts. We were so sad to leave and hope we will be back soon. Thank you Svilokos family!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 teenagers) and stayed here in August 2014. This was a delightful place to stay whilst visiting Dubrovnik. (There are 4 ferries a day and the journey is just 30 mins from Dubrovnik so check out the times and plan your travels). It was peaceful and idyllic with a few houses around the bay and no cars. We had intended to make several visits to Dubrovnik but couldn't tear ourselves away from the lovely island of kolocep. We swam for hours, hired canoes to canoe around the Island (highly recommended), walked, enjoyed the views from the terrace... We would thoroughly recommend a stay here. The owners are thoughtful and helpful; the apartment is exactly as described. Book early!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have just spent 10 days at Villa Svilokos and can honestly say that everything from start to finish was just perfect! We had a really easy transfer from the airport using the Atlas shuttle bus to the port followed by ferry to Kolocep. We were met as promised by the lovely Nina who escorted us on the short walk to the apartment pointing out items of interest along the way. On arrival and after we had caught our breath from looking out of the windows at the spectacular views we noted that everything was exactly as described and spotlessly clean. We were made extremely welcome by Nina and the Svilokos family, nothing was too much trouble and Nina's home baking was a wonderful treat! Visiting Dubrovnik and the neighbouring islands is recommended and easily done. If you need to relax and return home happy and refreshed then this is the place for you.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Kolocep is a beautiful and peaceful island. The walks across the island are tranquil and undisturbed. The scenery is beautiful and authentic, rustic Croatia. The accommodation is perfectly placed and extremely comfortable. Nina and Josep's hospitality was warming and helped make the holiday special and memorable. Dubrovnik is a short ferry ride away. In a place as relaxing as Kolocep the ferry ride is a pleasurable experience an not at all a burden. It really does add character to the holiday. No cars on the island...bliss!
