WHAT'S AROUND

The house is in a national historic district, and the neighborhood is full of beautiful, architecturally diverse historic homes. At the end of the street is an entrance to the Blackwater Creek trail system, which includes miles of scenic, paved walking and biking trails. Point of Honor, the home of Patrick Henry's physician, Dr. George Cabell, is only a stone's throw away.

Another cool tidbit is that we also offer a red train caboose Airbnb (James Station) on the adjacent lot. (It was the 2025 most wishlisted Airbnb in Virginia!) You'll see it out the back of the apartment and we hope you'll come back for a unique stay.

AND if you look out the back yard, you'll also see a grain silo house looking out over the river. (yep, that's us, too!) See our other listings for these unique stays.

ALSO NEARBY:

Bacon Street Bagels- at the entrance to our neighborhood!
Wolfbane Theater- (easier to walk!) 10 min walk

Lynchburg Amphitheater- 15 min walk (no parking hassles!)
Downtown Restaurants, ice cream, & shops: 15 min walk (or 3 min drive)

We had a wonderful stay, the apartment was clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The view of the historic pipe factory was really neat, and the river spillway was gorgeous. Hosts were communicative and friendly. Next time we’re in town, we will be sure to book with them!

Directions for check in/check out were very simple and helpful. The space was super cozy and felt very private, despite being so close to downtown Lynchburg. I appreciated the warning about potential noise from the pipe factory, but we could hardly hear anything from inside and weren't bothered by it one bit! This was the perfect place to stay and get ready for a friend's wedding, and I would stay here again if I ever find myself back in Lynchburg!

We enjoyed a short weekend in the 1 bedroom apartment. Amy and Marc made us feel very welcome with useful handbook of local recommendations and arrangements for entry/ exit were very efficient. Close to downtown area with multiple eating options

We enjoyed our time at the apt! Aesthetically attractive with some industrial touches, fitting for location near pipe works factory. Snacks, K-cups, and Flour District cookies were very welcoming, as was the graduation banner for our LU grad. Definitely recommend for a small party looking for close proximity to downtown offerings!
