Seward, Alaska
This charming 1 bedroom is located just 1 block from Resurrection Bay and the Sea Life Center and 1 street over from downtown shops and restaurants. One of Sewards oldest buildings and originally a boarding house from the old railroad days, come stay and be part of Sewards history. Speaking of history, we are right behind the museum/library. This rental has been totally renovated but we kept some of the old charm. Kitchen has single hot plate burner, convection oven, microwave and refrigerator. Also 1 bedroom, bathroom and living space. We are quiet building and observe quiet hours. We have local residents who also live in the building. We provide employment opportunity for a local resident with your cleaning fee. Parking is free in the front of the building. Great walking path 1 block away that leads to the small boat harbor 1 mile away. Accommodates 2 adults and 2 small children
Perfect location right in downtown. Excellent communication. Clean.
This small but lovely and we’ll-stocked apartment was perfect for our 3 night stay. The manager, Shelly, did a great job of communicating and even sent a long list of things to do and good places to eat. We especially liked that it was walking distance to many attractions and only 2 blocks from a free shuttle stop to take us to many others.
This property was just as advertised. Quiet, quaint, and excellent shopping near by. If I go back to Seward I will re-book here for sure. I really enjoyed my stay.
Close to everything, very quiet for sleeping. Shelly was great to work with and would stay again.
Owner was awesome and this is close to everything
We LOVED our stay at Marathon by the Sea - the bed was so extremely comfortable and cozy. Great location- we walked a block to the courthouse to get married! Well stocked with kitchen gadgets and serve ware, as well as extra blankets and towels. Host was so very kind and promptly responded whenever we reached out. We most definitely recommend!
Great option for a few days. The apartment is an easy walk to the water, the Sea Life Center, the brewery, and downtown restaurants. Internet speed is great for making travel/excursion arrangements and entertainment. Everything was clean and welcoming. We enjoyed the museum located in the library and were able to also see the movie about the 1964 earthquake--shown once a day for a separate fee. Highly recommend the movie.
This was a perfect place for our short stay. Right in the middle of downtown, this small apartment gave us a place to drop our bags and explore the town. It is perfect for two people and a bit tight for four (especially with two teenage boys at the end of a long trip!), but this was no surprise given the description of the property on the platform. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for a quick meal and coffee. We met the host on the way in who was gracious with his time and the information he shared about the area. The host was communicative and kind from start to finish. We would gladly stay here again when back in downtown Seward.
We had a great time and enjoyed your lovely apartment. Very cute!
Cute and cozy, the kitchen is decorated Retro. It has everything you need. Walking distance to Main Street. I enjoyed the history of the building and appreciate appreciate that it is continuing to serve the people.
Love the retro look! Great location!! Wish we could have stayed longer.
Thank you, and wonderful little place and great location.
The host was wonderful and the property was nice and well maintained
This beautiful little nook in the heart of Seward was the perfect, clean, and stylish respite we needed at the end of our grand Alaskan adventure! Everything you'd need in a VRBO and the check in/out process was easy peasy.
