Prime West Beach location New Owner. Simple and affordablle.

Very clean and well kept also enjoyed the ducks in the little stream behind the unit very nice stay

Unless you have absolutely no other options, keep looking and pass this place by. The only thing going for this property is the proximity to State St. The place was shabby, you had to walk up a winding wooden staircase to get to the bedroom. There is no maid service. The room overlooks a water causeway that looks like a sewer. The bathroom is old and antiquated. It was also invaded by a colony of ants every night. The coup de grace was when I was leaving, there was a pair of dirty old pants just outside the door obviously left by an unfortunate homeless person. There is no on premise staff to address any of these issues. I am not sure what the service and property fees of $200 per night were supposed to cover, but as an addition to the $200 per night charge for the room, it was a total rip off. Once again, do any thing to avoid staying here.

Great location with walking distance to so many restaurants, Funk Zone and the marina. Kitchen has everything you may need. The upper roof is a great place to hang out. The stairs can be difficult for some but handrail is there to assist. A king size bed would be a plus as there is room in the bedroom. Overall, great place to stay and if we travel back to the area we would certainly book here again.

Great place!

We had a lovely stay and felt the place was very private. We did not hear noise from other units. The location is incredible - you can walk to Stearns Wharf, or to Downtown State Street. Restaurants and shops just a few steps away. Darling neighborhood around it. Describing the unit as having vintage charm is accurate. The building is 100 years old, but I appreciated Jeff being upfront about the work he is doing on it. Perfect space for a couple. We had everything we needed and would stay again!

Lovely home with a great patio and peaceful setting.

You can't beat the combination of price and location for this property! We used it as our home base for exploring the area around Santa Barbara but could easily walk or bike everywhere in Santa Barbara. It's close to so many great beaches, restaurants, shops, and tourist locations. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Some areas in the home are looking a little tired, but Jeff has plans to update soon. He was an amazing host, easy to contact and going above and beyond to make our trip special.

Great host, great location...

The host Jeff was easy to communicate with, the location is prime being near both the beach and downtown, the parking is easy enough to find and walk to, and the place is comfortable and clean. Main thing is that the bathroom is tighter than ideal, but other than that, the whole setup worked well for the three of us that stayed, utilizing the upstairs bed and downstairs sofa bed.

Prime West Beach location, just outside the Funk Zone and about 1.5 blocks from the beach. Our unit had everything we needed and was a great place for us to land after traveling and sightseeing. The host is super helpful and very responsive to any needs

This place has lots of character. Had everything we needed. Great location. We walked everywhere. Roof top space was wonderful. Jeff was very accommodating! We hope to return soon!

Great apartment for a couple. The host was a new owner and was working out some start up kinks, but Jeff was quick to respond and a great communicator. The apartment is in a wonderful location, just a couple blocks to the beach, the marina, State Street, Funk Zone and tons of great restaurants. I was there for 3 weeks and discovered new areas and activities every day. I had a great stay and kind of fell in love with the town. I'd go back!

Didn't visit a National Park, but the Channel Islands were out there and visible...

Pros: nice apartment that was clean, with quality furnishings and well equipped. Plenty of room for two. Great location within walking distance of the ocean and many downtown attractions. The owners were gracious and easy to work with.Cons: no A/C in upstairs bedroom which got hot during our stay. The stairway is steep and may be a little tricky for some to navigate.

Friendly owner. The bed was so comfortable. We slept well. It was a treat to hear the frogs at night just right out of our window. We will stay here again. Cheers!

Great location and friendly hosts. More attention to deeper cleaning, maintenance, and renewing the old bedsheets would make it 5 stars.

great neighborhood and close to the action of Santa Barbara. needs updating - the kitchen ware is old and not in good shape- we did not feel comfortable using any of the pots and pans, etc. There were no sheets for the hide-a-bed (which had a big stain on the mattress) and the two blankets were balled up in a drawer and smelled very musty. One thing I did not see in the photos was the canal in the back of the property. It was pretty unsightly to look at with floating debris and green water. Even though it did have negatives, there was some charm too it and if you want a place in close proximity to downtown it is a fine place to stay.

The configuration of this small unit is less than desirable and not suitable for senior citizens. There are steep winding stairs to the bedroom, closet and bath. All the windows are void of screens so there is no ventilations or air conditioning.

The stairs are very steep and the treds very small, dangerous for people with mobility issues and for children. The stairs should be disclosed in text and photos.

We loved being a couple blocks from the beach in a quiet neighbourhood. We thoroughly enjoyed having our breakfast and lunch at the unit inside and up on the outside deck and dinners out in the nearby restaurants. The access to transit was great. Our property managers were friendly, helpful with recommendations and prompt at responding. We had a wonderful experience.

We would stay again in this lovely home. Sandy was exceptionally responsive.

Great place, great location. Street parking a little challenging with a big truck, but I would come back again for sure.

At the price paid to stay in Santa Barbara, Ca. One should not have to jockey around the town’s difficult parking regulations. If there is no way around the city ordinances then this should be ‘loudly’ stated in the original property description.
