Perfect Work Retreat on Market St. Downtown ILM

Perfect spot downtown. Clean & in a great spot!

Terrific stay

Ideal location in the historic district of Wilmington. Extremely short walking distance to numerous, restaurants, eateries, bars, views of the waterfront. The property is authentic and quickly immerses you into the local culture of downtown Wilmington, as if you've been living there all your life. I will definitely book this property again should my travels bring me there again in the future

This property was flawless. Very clean, quaint decor, and with it being in the heart of downtown we were very impressed. After reading previous reviews about noise at night, we brought a sound machine with us to use to help combat that. We had that going full blast and sound machine apps on both our phones going and you could still hear the bass bumping from the club across the street past 2am. And I mean it was LOUD. We also had several instances of loud banging (we couldn’t quite tell if it was the tenants above us or coming from the building next door) intermittently from 10p to 12a. None of this could be controlled by the owner of this property and I do feel like the property deserves 5 stars. But I warn anyone considering this property for a weekend to bring ear plugs! It was so nice getting to park right around the corner in the lot provided and being able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We overall had a wonderful weekend celebrating our anniversary, we just need a nap lol.

The space is very clean, and the check-in process was very smooth. Everything was as portrayed in the listing. This space is also dog friendly so it worked really well for my situation. I did have one issue with a broken shower handle, and after discussing with the host, we agreed to not fixing it until after my stay. My biggest caveat with this space. If you are looking for a quiet space this is probably not for you. I loved being close to downtown and within walking distance of a lot of places, but I had trouble sleeping at night because I’m not used to the noise. That is just personal preference, but I will know for next time. Also, if you do bring a dog, the closest good grass patches are about 1.5-2 blocks away. Overall this spot was a good choice for my needs for this trip, especially because we would be downtown so much. I would definitely consider staying here again.
