Great location and quality remodel. Just enough space for two. Perfect for couples. Easy access to beach. Local shuttle offers access into Provincetown (P-Town).
The photos can be misleading. This cottage is not directly on the beach. There is a row of cottages on the beach, behind them there is a road and then a second row of cottages where this one is. It is very basic. Not redone or fancy. It felt like we were at camp. It's cute. It is very small. There is no AC and there is a skylight so at night we needed to sleep with the windows open and fans on. The sun came in from the roof very early and bright. I slept with an eye mask. There was noise from the road and it was hot. We enjoyed our time but didn't sleep well. The manager was very nice on email. The beach is a bit different from the pictures. Bathroom and shower are very basic. No microwave.
Perfect size for two people. Everything you need included for cooking. We could easily bike to Provincetown. Feels like a cottage, a little rust on the cabinets, curtains fell off when I tried to open them, shower didn't drain well. But overall cleanliness was OK. What I appreciated most were the chairs on the beach and the close access to the beach, we could see, hear and smell the ocean from the cottage. A very relaxing time. Thank you! Marie
My wife and I had a wonderful trip to Truro/P-town. Sue was very helpful in booking and even stopped by to see if everything was OK. The cottage was very clean when we arrived and was a great place to unwind after many long days of exploring. The area was very quiet and had bus access downtown. Even though we weren't in one of the beachside cottages, we had access to the private picnic tables/adirondack chairs overlooking the beach/sunsets. We were also surprised the cottage came with cable and wifi which helped kill some time on one of the rainy days. Overall would recommend if you're looking for a romantic getaway close to P-town without breaking the bank.
We arrived at our cottage and last year we stayed across the street in the same cottages but on the bay-side (water) side so we knew what to expect but the pictures are not of the exact cottage you are renting! The pictures are of a UPDATED REMODELED cottage that is not for rent! We called Susan and told her we were very unhappy with our rental and she gave us a another rental to look at or a refund of $400 on our place; we took our original cottage because it was nearer to the beach and she sent us a check this week! The rental needs some work and a few updates would really be nice. The dresser drawers are very hard to open, there is nowhere to put clean towels in the bathroom ( a shelf would help) there were no kitchen towels and we had to go buy those. Also, a bathroom mat! The coffee maker is too small for two people but we went out for coffee every morning. A toaster is needed and a few more dishes! I really love the cottages but the one we rented last year was a much better value, on the actual water and came with many extras! Updated pictures of the actual cottage would really be helpful to the renters to appraise what they are getting for their money!
