Peaceful Oakland Oasis w/ Private Yard!

Our holiday getaway was made that much more special because of the unit that we chose. The unit was equipped with everything that we needed to make our Thanksgiving meal. As well, the host was very nice about assisting with the few questions that we had. Overall amazing pace to stay!

Nice place not well stocked. Location right near freeway is okay. No noise in unit at least in winter.

The host provided almost no help about local cafes or resources. The unit is downstairs and it was cold and he lives upstairs and controls the heat so it’s necessary to contact him when things get too toasty. It’s a nuisance. We did get sushi ago go and Evert and Jones bbq. Traffic from 580 can be heard in smaller bedroom

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were able to have family dinners in the beautiful, bright great room, and our hosts were accommodating and helpful.

When we saw the place, we were very impressed with the beautiful backyard. Although there is only a sitting place, the backdrop is covered with greenery. Looking out from the inside, you see the green. Overall, there are a lot of good things about this place. They provide lots of coffee pods, water, all the supplies in the kitchen. Plenty of bedsheets, towels and pillows. There is also a washer/dryer combo with provided laundry detergent. The lighting is great. Overall we liked the place. The downside to this location was that there is no dishwasher. Also, the pots are large, and with the configuration of the sink, it makes it tough to wash. There should be a small pot to cook small items like an egg. When I went to boil one egg, I ended up using an obscene amount of water. Also, there are other people who live in the house locked away behind a closed and locked door. The unit is in the back of the house and you can hear the others talk, hear their music and hear their footsteps overhead. Likely, they can hear you as well. If you don't mind that, then it is not a problem. Overall, we liked the place and would give it a four out of five.

We stayed at this beautiful house while we were moving our daughter to Oakland. The house was very clean and was exactly as the pictures were online. We appreciated that our daughter’s two cats were welcome here. The cats enjoyed looking out the many windows. This house is located near the I-580, so it easy access to drive around Oakland.

Very clean, spacous, well stocked with everything you could need. The host is very gracious and accommodating. We had a plumbing issue and he was immediately responsive and remedied the issue. It is on a street right next to the freeway which provides easy access to all areas of the east bay, as well as San Francisco. This does result in background traffic noise, but it's okay inside the unit. Overall, very nice and if the location works I would recommend this space. Very lovely host.

We drove down from Seattle to start a road trip up through the Redwoods. Our first stop was to go into San Francisco to explore everything the city has to offer. The check in process was easy, everything was clean and organized with various snacks, drinks, wine laid out for us. Shortly after we checked in the property owner gave me a call to introduce themselves and offer any help that we may have needed. They were also very responsive via text when I reached out. The location sits relatively close to the Oakland zoo and is only about a 30 minute drive into San Francisco. Highly recommend if you're in the area visiting.

Home away from home! The hosts made sure we were totally comfortable and provided for for the entire stay and were so generous and kind. Even little touches like a basket of toiletries in case you forgot yours and some fruit etc. to welcome us! Nothing was overlooked and we felt like royalty! Come stay here, look no further! :)
