Modern, stylish, and thoughtfully laid out, the apartment offers a comfortable retreat in a peaceful but central location. The spacious living room easily converts into a second bedroom, complete with a blackout privacy shade and a queen-size leather sleeper sofa with a plush memory foam mattress. All bedding is neatly stored in the coffee and end tables. The private rear bedroom includes a queen memory foam bed, full closet, dresser, and direct access to a serene backyard with seating and an umbrella—ideal for relaxing outdoors.

With two separate entrances and distinct living and sleeping areas, the layout provides excellent privacy and flexibility for couples or friends traveling together. A fully stocked kitchen, dining room/workspace, and full bath complete the space. Enjoy modern conveniences including central air/heat, dishwasher, washer/dryer, a 55` smart TV with cable, Wi-Fi, and complimentary use of two bikes for exploring New Orleans.

Guests have full access to the private apartment, plus shared amenities including the lush backyard, laundry room, and complimentary bikes—perfect for getting around the city. Whether you’re returning from the French Quarter or starting your morning with a neighborhood ride, this thoughtfully curated space is an inviting place to relax, recharge, and experience the authentic rhythm of New Orleans.

You’ll have the home entirely to yourself, but we’re just a message away if you need anything during your stay. We’re happy to share local tips and recommendations, or simply give you the space to enjoy New Orleans your way.

The apartment is centrally located in the Central City neighborhood, surrounded by the Warehouse District (art galleries and restaurants), the Lower Garden District (a young, vibrant area centered around Magazine Street), the Garden District (historic mansions and cemeteries), and Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard, home to a variety of museums and restaurants.

New Orleans is compact, and public transit is the best option. An all-day streetcar/bus pass is just $3.

Directions from the Airport (20 minutes): Take I-10 East to Loyola Avenue exit, right on Baronne Street, left on Erato Street, left on Carondelet Street (one way). The apartment is on your left near the end of the block.

My dad and I have lovingly owned and managed this home for over 13 years. As a local architect and historic preservationist, it’s been a joy to thoughtfully maintain and preserve this house as a beautiful example of New Orleans architecture. We care deeply about this city and feel honored to share our home with visitors from around the world. We hope you’ll feel the warmth, charm, and spirit that make New Orleans so special.

We very much enjoyed the Parrot Apartment. Very nicely decorated, great location, and overall pretty clean. Did not hear the traffic noise at all. Only thing is that I got bit by a bug(s) every night, but my partner did not. I communicated this to the host (upon check out) and said he would look into it immediately.

This place is conveniently between the CBD, Garden District, and the Quarter. While it’s farther from the Quarter than the other two neighborhoods, it’s only a fifteen- to twenty-minute walk up to the St. Charles streetcar. It's a nice walk to a few restaurants on St. Charles. There's also a cool crop of restaurants on the overpass near the WW II museum. I would definitely stay here again.

I absolutely love this location. The apartment was clean and neat. I brought my laptop to do some work and then Internet worked extremely fast. I love the amenities. Lots of space. Great location. I walked to the WWII and local restaurants. Definitely would come back

We had 2 couples stay here for a wedding in downtown New Orleans. Starting with pros: - So many places to easily walk to but Ubers to most locations were only 5-7 dollars! Right in the heart of everything. - Theming was fun! - Area was quiet, never heard noise from other tenants or neighbors. - No chores that VRBOs usually require upon checkout. We basically got to leave and not worry about anything, similar to a hotel. - Beds were comfortable, even the pullout. Cons: - We almost missed our flight because we were locked out of the property early. We ended up knocking on every door in the property and calling and texting Steven many times before we finally started trying random codes in hopes that we could get inside. That was frustrating. If check out is at 11am, why does my door code not work at 10:30am? We also had issues getting into the unit upon check in. - Cleaning was less than desirable. Dead bugs in cabinets, Steven had to bring new towels because most of ours weren’t clean, my feet were black by the time I was ready to get into bed from walking barefoot (needed mopped badly). It could have been worse but could have been better. - Hair dryer is poor. It took me over a half hour to fully dry my hair because it doesn’t get very hot and the power is just low in it. Feels more like a warm breeze. My suggestion would be to add another blow dryer.
