The studio apartment is furnished very well and has all the amenities needed for two people to be comfortable. The full kitchen with refrigerator, induction cooktop, air fryer, and small appliances definitely comes in handy if you are wanting to make a hot breakfast, lunch or full dinner during your stay. The bathroom is large, well lit, and the shower is spacious.The location is great in Dolores Heights, four blocks south of Mission Dolores Park, and one block north of 24th Street, which is full of various shops, restaurants, and cafes. The J Line stops one block north and south of the property, so it is easy to use the public transportation San Francisco has to offer.Even with the apartment being so close to things, the neighborhood is quiet and we had no issues with noise from the streets or the direct and adjacent neighbors.Although we didn’t use the balcony and backyard space, it was fantastic to wake up to and have right outside the entrance to the apartment. All the trees, bushes and plants definitely make the place an oasis in the city.We had no issues during our stay, and felt at home directly from entering the apartment.We can highly recommend this property and have saved it as a favorite for our future trips to San Francisco.

Olive’s gate was perfect for our time in San Francisco. The kitchen was well equipped though we only used it for coffee in the morning. The host was quick to answer our questions. We were there for a family wedding so we’re didn’t spend a lot of time in the unit. The bed was comfy and the location perfect for us.

The location is great for us, the room is well-kept and suits our needs beautifully.

The kitchen utensils were fully stocked, great little apartment. The shower was really great! Typical SF parking. close to food places.

Great stay @ Olive's Gate! Comfortable, clean studio & lovely garden space. Clear communication regarding logistics. Chez, the host, also graciously helped us with a request. For this SF trip we decided not to rent car. Restaurants and Whole Foods are close by. It was easy to use BART & MUNI to traverse the city & travel to/from airport. (Get Senior Clipper card ahead of trip fares are 62.5% less!) Enjoyed attractions in Golden Gate Park, (deYoung Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, botanical garden & Stowe Lake) but the highlight was the SF Love Tour in a 60's VW Van, SO fun! We would definitely stay at Olive's Gate again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay. Great location within walking distance of Noe Valley. The space is well appointed and clean. The owner responsive with an inquiry we had and was friendly.

This is a beautiful apartment located at owner’s home. Located in a nice area of San Francisco. My only difficulty was checking in, because at 72 old eyes only see things marked with good lighting. One of the cleanest and nicest rentals that I have visited.

Olive’s Gate is a very nice private space. Beautiful garden. Privacy fence. Walkable neighborhood.We have stayed here previously. Hopefully we will get a chance to stay here again. The shower is awesome. The living space is very clean. Communication with our host has always been very pleasant. It was great to be able to do laundry, very good machines.

This is a great property, well located, with all the amenities we needed. We had some difficulty connecting to the wifi, but that may have been a problem on our end. I would definitely recommend this property to others!

Located in Noe Valley, this studio apartment has all you need for a comfortable stay if you can remain stable amongst the steep hills of San Francisco! The entry instructions seemed a bit difficult, but turned out to be quite easy. There are good cooking facilities if you choose to prepare meals amongst the wealth of eating facilities in San Francisco. The shower has been commented upon by others. Simply put, it is the best we have ever experienced (and we're 84 years old!). The apartment was well cleaned and the linens first rate. There is an excellent washer and dryer which adjoins the apartment and we used it several times during our three week stay. There is excellent public transportation to downtown a block away, and for a relatively modest fee you can get a residential parking permit for a car. It would have been helpful to have the outside garden area tidied up, but we were out and about San Francisco most of the time. All in all, the apartment had everything we needed.

This trip exceeded my expectations primarily due to the exceptional accommodations and the super host. The apartment is fantastic and very well-furnished. Its location provides great access to the city's transportation system (stops are one block both ways). Restaurants, shops, and a Whole Foods are within blocks. I'd live in this unit if I could. I'll definitely be returning. Thank you, Chez, for a memorable visit.

Absolutely wonderful property!! Houston responded quickly and was extremely helpful. We would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a nice, quiet place to stay that is just a short uber ride away from most of the tourist attractions.

My partner and I found this listing after combing through space after space that was over priced, undersized and under-furnished. None of this was the case with Olive’s Gate. The location was incredible, and Chez did such a great job creating a private, home-y space in the heart of a busy city. It was an absolute pleasure staying here.

Enjoyed our time. Easy to access. Amazing shower! Wish we had more time there to enjoy the backyard. Look forward to staying again.

Overall, this was 4 & 1/2 stars. The entrance gate was unusable due to the wooden gate/door being swollen from the recent rain. We were provided with a garage door opener that allowed us to access the apartment. It was just perfect for our needs.

Staying at this Olive's Gate property was an excellent experience. The information was accurate and Chez was very responsive. The neighborhood is safe and not far from the central parts of Noe Valley and the Mission. Checking in and out were simple. Quiet at night. Comfortable. Great water pressure! Any issues? My wife prefers a softer bed. Great place/stay/experience overall.

Great location near shopping on 24th street! Also, incredible water pressure, best shower of my life. Chez was accommodating and helped getting us a parking pass prior to our arrival, made parking the car stress free.

Perfect little studio apartment in Noe Valley. Everything was as described. Great neighborhood and location for getting around the city. J Church Muni stop only a block away and BART to the airport is only a 15 minute walk. No need for a car! Will definitely stay again.

Chez was a wonderful host. The unit was well equipped. The shower was fantastic! We do recommend that the heavy wooden door to the street be shaved down at the top. The door was so heavy that I could not pull it open as it was stuck to the frame. My husband could.

Olive's Gate was a wonderful place to stay for our first visit to San Francisco. The apartment was comfortable with all the right amenities, a fantastic shower, and was surprisingly quiet. There is a private outdoor area to relax in and a great neighborhood to walk to. It is the perfect spot to come back to every evening after full days of exploring the city.

I reallly enjoyed my stay at Olive’s Gate! Great studio with a kitchen and a lovely yard. Chez is very welcoming and flexible on any requests. The flat is very well located, with the train J around the corner and Dolores park at 5-10 minutes walking. I highly recommend it!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Overall OK. No washer/dryer in the unit— listing misleading. Unit itself is directly connected to a garage which contributes to the musty odor of the place. Question about location of washer/dryer not answered by the owner for 4 hours. Owner said we could use the washer/dryer in the adjacent garage— but not until the next day! Certainly no hot tub that was in the listing. No tub at all. Bizarre note left by the owner informing us that we must vacate on time because someone coming in right afterward. Unit itself was clean. Everything worked. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. Owner could have been a bit more courteous. He never called to explain the issue with the washer/dryer. Just a curt text.
