Oinos apartment - 2 Bedroom deluxe Apt / Sea view /Shared Pool / Sleeps 5

The property is in a lovely position with a fabulous view of the sea. The apartment was extremely clean. George is a great host - extremely reliable and helpful. All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing place to stay.

I cannot thank George enough for all of his help with our trip! Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely clean, bright and well maintained property with a little gift on arrival. If you like, George can arrange pickup for you from the airport, car hire, etc. Lovely quiet spot up on the hill overlooking the sea. Perfect for those wanting to relax in peaceful surroundings away from the crowds. 400m from quiet Lygaria beach, but be warn warned- its a bit of a hike back up the road in the heat if you haven't got a car. Small local shop just around the corner for essentials. Drive down to Agia Pelagia in the evenings for a spot of dinner at one of the many wonderful Greek Restaurants on the waterfront. I was VERY pleased to see that there was not an English pub or Breakfast in sight! Perfect! Thank you again George - we will definitely see you again!

We spent 10 days in this apartment. George had added in an extra bed for our extra child but the room still didn’t feel cramped. The apartment had everything we needed and we appreciated the little touches such as the provision of washing up liquid, hand soap, condiments and water. Makes such a difference. We made good use of the pool with the views of the sea... We hired a car and found the location very convenient. Just off the main highway so handy for Heraklion, Knossos, Water City and the resorts along the north coast. Lygaria Beach is in walking distance of the apartment and we can heartily recommend Sirocco restaurant as recommended to us by George. Very close to Agia Pelagia too, probably walking distance if you can face the walk back up the hill! George recommended several restaurants although we only tried one, Zorbas, but again we weren’t disappointed. We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to other families.

George the owner was fantastic, always trying to please you,will sort anything out for you. Views of the sea are amazing and would definitely reccomend calling in for a drink or bite to eat and visit Nickolas at Pennystella opposite the small church.

What a lovely place that we stayed in. The pool was right oursde to our apartment which we were really pleased with. Nice and clean the maid clean literally everyday. The view was amazing. You do need a car to get about. A bit probably walking up and down the stairs if you problems with legs but still worth the hassle. George was very helpful attended to our every need. Would certainly come again. Thanks for everything George

Well furnished, everything you need in the kitchen. Pool spotless and well maintained. Used the Gym, more than enough to keep you ticking over. Local restaurants not too far away, and if your legs wont get you back up the hill, cab is only 5 Euros. George is an excellent host. Not intrusive but there if there is anything you need or want to know. If you are looking at this property, just go. You wont regret it.

I loved my stay here. The apartment is a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the closest village. The views from the apartment is incredible, with views of the sea and the surrounding mountains. The apartment itself is spotless and very comfortable. George and Clare are wonderful hosts, welcoming and very helpful. If you’re lucky George will bring you samples of locally brewed wine. I cannot recommend this place enough – you’d be a fool not to stay here.

First of all, a big thank you to George, he is the ideal host! George picked us up from Heraklion airport, despite the lateness of the hour, then returned us there at the end of the stay. The apartment is very stylishly appointed, with just about everything we could have needed. The kitchen equipment, in particular, was very good allowing us to cook a full meal when we wanted to. The equipment supplied was only second to our own villa in Florida! We didn't hire a car since we wanted to chill out for two weeks (but also get some exercise!). George offered on several occasions to drive us to the local supermarket to pick up supplies. We were very grateful, but declined because the larger of the two nearby towns (Agia Pelagia) was an easy, downhill 2.5km walk then we got a taxi all the way back up the hill with our shopping for 10 Euros. The nearer, smaller, village (Ligaria) was only a 400m downhill walk, so we tackled that when we went there for drinks and/or meals and managed the uphill 400m back on foot. We were a lot fitter on leaving than when we arrived! The pool area is very spacious with plenty of loungers. My wife swam all through the two weeks, but I found the water a bit cold in the second week when the outside temperature fell from 32 degrees to 22-24 degrees. I suggested to George that a small solar panel for the pool could lift the temperature by a few degrees to make the pool more useable early/late in the season. We tried not to bother him, but George was always around if you needed him and even left a local mobile to contact him on. All in all, a wonderful stay which we would recommend to friends and hope to repeat in the near future! Harry McKerral, Falkirk, Scotland
