Mt. Gilead Sunrise- Country Suite close to wineries, breweries & wedding venues

This was one of nicest places we've ever stayed at. The owners left simple directions to access the property. The quiet environment provided us with an excellent getaway.

MGS is the perfect vacation spot to rest. Beautiful scenery. Isolated but still close to town. It has everything you need from extra towels and linen, to kitchen or cleaning supplies. The hosts are amazing and have very good taste decorating and maintaining it. Highly recommend it!

What a gorgeous place to stay! It looks brand new and was so well appointed. The owners thought of everything! It’s a bit out of the way, but that’s what we loved about it. Beautiful sunrises and a beautiful view of the horse farm! Close to numerous wineries and breweries and we enjoyed riding the backroads to see the beautiful countryside. Couldn’t find a single negative for our stay. Highly recommend!

It's really hard to top MGS stay. Absolutely beautiful, privacy, just completely turnkey. Too many positives to list them all. The suite is perfectly setup for everything you need. Open kitchen, walk in shower and laundry. The bedroom is spacious and plenty of room. They literally have thought of everything. The hosts were wonderful and so accommodating. I loved it so much I stayed here twice!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The hosts thought of everything to create a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The guest suite was spacious, super clean, modern and comfortable. It is private and the suite includes outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful landscape.

I have to say, due to the sever winter weather during my travel and visit, Nancy and Al were extremely gracious and generous. I arrived early and they offered to let me stay longer. If you ever visit MG Sunrise, you'll know what a treat it is to be there AND to be the guests of Nancy and Al!

Nancy and Al were extremely welcoming and hospitable every step of the process! This was our wedding weekend and they made us feel like we were totally at home. I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a clean comfortable and convenient location in Loudon County!

If Mt.Gilead Sunrise is available, jump on it! My BFF and I were looking for a weekend away close the DMV. The location could not have been better! We hit the spa at Landsdowne, hiked in Sweet Run State Park, ate downtown at Tuscarora Mill, enjoyed the views and wine at Stone Tower Winery, did some damage at the outlets, and still had time to chill and catch both a sunrise and sunset at Mt Gilead. The unit is absolutely perfect! Updated with furnishings that are exactly on point while being comfortable and homey. Nancy provided us with all of the information we needed and was available for questions, but the place is so well stocked we wanted for nothing. We would unreservedly recommend this lovely getaway!Erika O.

This was our second time staying at MGS and it’s still absolutely beautiful. Al and Nancy’s attention to every small detail makes this place a home away from home. The sunrises never disappoint either. Can’t wait to come again soon.

We stayed at Mt. Gilead Sunrise for 5 days to attend a family wedding. It was above and beyond our expectations. The hosts have thought of everything you might need from extra toiletries to the most comfortable furnishings.The grounds are absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful, relaxing vacation to stay here! We spent two days touring the museums in DC and it was so nice to come home to Mt. Gilead Sunrise!

Extraordinary location and place in the Virginia countryside. The suite was very clean, well decorated and nicely stock with everything we needed. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay and explore some wineries, this would be the place to book. My wife and I have stayed at several VRBO locations over the years and this once is far the best one yet.

We loved everything about our stay @ Mt. Gilead Sunrise. The accommodations were perfect for us and all of the amenities were amazing. Picture perfect views of the countryside and wildlife is abundant. We would definitely stay again on our next trip to Virginia.

The property was great. Very clean and even better than the photos. Was conveniently located right outside of downtown Leesburg and local wineries. We enjoyed the wildlife and rural feel of all the beautiful farms but close enough to plenty to do! Nancy and Al add plenty of little touches to make your stay feel even more welcome. Would definitely recommend!

This lovely retreat has become our go to spot when we are exploring Loudoun County wine country. Immaculate, excellent amenities, well-equipped - the perfect cozy spot for a couple. We will continue to celebrate anniversaries at the lovely MGS!

Mt Gilead Sunrise was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. We are new the area and wanted to explore VA wine country (breweries too) to celebrate a new career and anniversary. This was perfectly located, quiet, clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. It truly felt like our home away from home as everything we needed was there. The patio was perfect for catching the morning sunrise and enjoying the peace and quiet. We also can’t thank Al & Nancy enough for making our weekend so special. We can’t wait to come back!!

Wonderful place to stay!

We stayed here to attend a wedding at Stone Tower Winery because the location was perfect and the place looked great online. It’s even better in person. The apartment is lovely. Very roomy and clean and clearly well cared for. Check-in was a breeze. The kitchen was stocked with more snacks and food items than we had anticipated and really came in handy for when we got caught up running errands and getting ready for the wedding events. The blow dryer has a diffuser which I was grateful for. The bed is very comfortable and there were extra pillows and lots of fluffy towels. We were very happy to be able to do laundry since we are on the road for over a week. We would definitely recommend this location for visiting the area - especially the wineries. We chatted with one of the hosts as we were leaving and she was very nice. If we’re ever back in the area, I’d definitely stay here again!

This is in a beautiful, peaceful and serene location. The property was very clean and nicely decorated, and the owners have thought of every detail. There was a welcome bottle of wine, chocolates on the table, and coffee k-cups. This is a very welcoming place to stay, highly recommend it!

Great place and part of Virginia house country (now wine and craft beer country). Accommodations are clean and perfect for my wife and me.

Mt. Gilead Sunrise is the best VRBO I have visited. The place was immaculate, perfectly decorated, situated very close to Three Creeks Winery and stocked. There was wildlife in the driveway and deer running across the field. I needed a break from work, and this was a great spot to accomplish this. We will return.

This VRBO unit was very well designed, tastefully decorated and was furnished with everything you would want or need! The owner's included fresh fruit, milk, eggs, bagels, butter and more for breakfast and of course a bottle of wine and lots of snacks. The surroundings are lovely in farm country about seven miles from Leesburg. We stayed three nights and will definitely plan on returning. Bill and Sandy

It was amazing. Everything is clean and new. It was definitely the most well stocked VRBO that we have every visited. Our host thought of everything. I would definitely recommend for a quiet getaway!

Mary and I have stayed at quite a few VRBO's and this was by far the best, from the high quality of the accommodations, cleanliness, and attention to detail. I received a birthday card, bottle of wine, birthday cupcakes, there were fresh flowers in every room, the bedding was amazing, a generous supply of snacks and drinks and the place was tastefully decorated for the Easter season.

I spent a long weekend at Mt. Gilead Sunrise to give myself some peace and quiet. The property was absolutely beautiful - the pictures don't do it justice. Nancy and Al thought of everything - fluffy towels, a stocked kitchen, throw blankets. I enjoyed morning coffee on the porch swing and watched the bluebirds. I went on a hike at the Banshee Preserve and explored local wineries and breweries. I would definitely come back!

This is a beautiful place that had anything you could possibly need to feel at home. We were greeted with homemade pumpkin raisin bread and a bottle of Rose from one of the nearby wineries. The pictures online don’t do the place justice. And the sunrises? Breathtaking! Even had a herd of deer frolicking in the pasture for one sunrise. Our main goals were to relax, unwind and hit as many wineries as we could. The location is perfectly situated between several clusters of wineries. And when we came back after our tastings the kitchen had everything we needed to make a nice meal. Hoping to make this an annual event and look forward to staying here again. Thank you Nancy and Al for a wonderful weekend away!

From the moment my wife and I arrived until the moment we had to depart, we were in love with this “home”. It was beautifully renovated. The kitchen was fully stocked. The bathroom was equally well stocked with toiletries. The bedroom was large with a king size bed with wonderful linens. If all this wasn’t enough, the host left a homemade pumpkin bread and bottle of wine for our enjoyment. We would definitely love to stay there again when in northern Virginia. BTW, the countryside was magnificent.

The host thought of everything. Very clean & modern accommodations. We were greated with a fresh baked bread. The unit was private and well shocked. We would definitely recommend.

Nancy and Al were the best hosts we’ve ever had. So many little details made us feel welcome and comfortable. There were extra pillows and blankets, extra toiletries, snacks, a sound machine in the bedroom, and even fresh flowers. We felt incredibly special to be guests at MGS and even though we knew Nancy and Al were there, we always felt like we were the only ones on the property. We will definitely stay here again!

My best friend from high school and I stayed here over the weekend and had a fabulous time! The place is well laid out, with beautiful decor and high quality finishes. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and wildlife each morning. I met the owner and she was very friendly and brought us fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. We visited several wineries and had tea at The Tea Cart in Berryville which was fabulous. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!

Mt. Gilead Sunrise was a great place to stay. Location to the wineries was great. The place fit my and my wife's needs perfectly. Nancy was great to communicate with. Anytime I sent her a message it was answered within minutes. I give this place a 10 out of 10.

The location was serene and lovely, the rental was clean and beautiful with a lot of extras. Enjoyed seeing horses in the pasture and deer along the woods. We loved our time there! Owner and rental was top notch!

This is the cutest little suite in a beautiful spot! Awesome patio to watch the sunrise and the deer frolicking in the morning mist. Everything about the place is top notch - from the outstanding fixtures in the shower to all the thoughtful touches everywhere you look. Hungry from the road? There are snacks and drinks. Need a pick me up? There is a well stocked coffee/tea bar. Worrried about bugs on the patio? There is bug spray outside (it wasn’t buggy). Highly recommended!!

We stay often. Consistently great place to stay while visiting family and friends in the leesburg area.

We were looking for an anniversary getaway and our cousin planned their wedding on the same week! This suite fit the bill for us to enjoy both and experience the local amenities in a far more relaxing environment. Everything was exceptional and we hope to plan a return sometime.

Had a great stay at this nice farm house in VA Horse Country. Hosts went above and beyond to provide great amenities, and the whole process was seamless and easy. Would definitely recommend a stay here for anyone visiting the area.

This was a fantastic place that was in a reasonable driving distance to all the major Civil War sites I wanted to see. All the items I needed were provided. The deer hanging out in the yard and fields were the icing on the cake.
