Relax in this cozy, custom built upstairs studio apartment with beautiful, panoramic views of Kit Carson and Challenger peaks, nestled along the Spanish Creek green belt. Walking and mountain biking nature trails are just out the back yard and it's only about a 5 minute drive to many of Crestone's spiritual centers. 5 min. drive to trail heads and town of Crestone. Perfect for romantic getaways, retreats or to unwind.

This quiet studio apartment has a plush king sized bed, perfectly positioned for mountain viewing, without having to get out of bed!

Climb the north facing staircase, walk through the private entrance and melt into the serenity of Crestone.

There's a TV with Amazon Firestick, private 3/4 bathroom (shower, sink, toilet) and kitchenette with sink, counter tops, mini fridge/freezer, microwave and 4 burner petite stove. All of the extras are included (french press, electric kettle, ice tray, dishes/flatware, cooking basics).

Additional Notes: The hot water tank is small, so please limit your showers to 10 minutes or less. There is no dishwasher, garbage disposal, or trash service. Please bag up trash and leave inside the unit and we will dispose it. This space is limited to 2 people.

This is a shared parking area with the main home (called the 'Carefree House'), which is also a VRBO listing and located on the same property as the apartment.

Tobacco & drug free apartment. No smoking or vaping inside the apartment. There's plenty of space outside to enjoy whatever you may partake in.

the views are amazing and it’s fairly easy to get to great sand dunes, the space is perfect for a getaway and Crestone is such a cute little town!

Check in at 4. Lock box. No code. Didn’t answer call that I had to get the number for. Didn’t answer call when Expedia called. Ruined my entire vacation. Had to stay elsewhere cause he was mountain biking. And that’s more important then a business. So pissed.

This was a quiet, peaceful, tranquil get away. The birdhouse was comfortable and relaxing. It has everything you need for a peaceful getaway. Crestone has lots of great hiking and spiritual retreats. The Great Sand Dune National Park is about an hour away, the drive has spectacular views.

It's very cozy and clean plenty of towels.The kitchen set up perfectly if you want to really cook. The refrigerator's small. The host amazing.I was caught here in a blizzard and they gave me a night I think i've found a new place to stay when I have to come up to crestone. crecrestonher

The Birdhouse was a great place to getaway in the quirky town of Crestone. Place was clean and we were glad to have a place to cook a meal with Crestone being closed everywhere on a Sunday. We would definitely stay again

Definitely cozy studio with great location. I went for a couple nights with my girlfriend to enjoy all the hiking near Crestone and Great Dunes. The house itself has a nice view of the nearby San Juan mountains, is well maintained, some of the appliances are archaic but easy to use. It was exactly what we needed and at a fair price.
