Stayed Sep 12, 2019The location of this apartment was really convenient for train travel. It was also very pretty and quite clean, a great size with all the amenities we needed for a short stay. We enjoyed the short walks to get cicchetti by the canals as well. We did, however, have a few issues. Just as a note, this place is not good if you need flexibility on your arrival because the check in time you indicate is kind of set in stone. The landlord is not local, which is fine but is something to be aware of if travel plans go awry or you like to take things as they come. We were met at the train station by Francesco which was a nice offer, but getting to the apartment from the train was very straightforward and we didn't actually need an escort. Unfortunately, Francesco also made us VERY uncomfortable. We made the mistake of accepting a spritz after a short tour, where I had hoped for more history of the neighborhood, but he spent a lot of the time making prejudicial remarks about Chinese and Argentinian people that we were taken aback by. He also kept pushing his walking tour on us which we had not agreed to go to, but he kind of assumed we would go to. Aside from that odd start, we found the location convenient but not quiet like I had expected from the listing. Yes, it is off the main street and the neighbors were quiet but there are walking tours early in the morning and the courtyard is very echoey, making it also loud all through the day until about midnight because there is a lot of foot traffic through there. I accomodated for this possibility with ear plugs so it was still okay. The bed, though, was also very uncomfortable. I'm fine with a firm bed but this one had a huge lump at your lumbar and I ended up waking with numb fingers and toes one morning from not being able to sleep in a good position. The pillows looked fluffy but instantly became flat and hard when you put your head on them. Overall, I would not stay here again even though the apartment itself was nice, as well as clean. And I also would not rent from this landlord again (because yes, of course, they made sure to tell us about their London listing) because I didn't feel completely comfortable as I have with previous hosts in our communication.

Stayed May 17, 2019I had a fantastic time in this beautiful, comfortable, very clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated apartment. It is even nicer than the photos show and the location is the best you can think of, on a small piazza, quiet, right by a vaporetto stop and close to lots of restaurants. The owners are very nice and helpful. Highly recommended and I would love to stay here again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This apartment was the perfect home away from home. My mom and I enjoyed the area which is a little quieter then some more touristy areas in Venice but still very lively. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. The refrigerator was stocked with some basics to help us get started. The hosts were wonderful. They met us at the boat and gave us a tour of the area which was really helpful. Shared restaurant tips and invited us to try some Venice specialties with them at one of their favorite places nearby! Two really kind and generous people! A great experience :)

Stayed Sep 28, 2017Our family was delighted to stay in this gem in the Jewish Ghetto of Venice, an area rich in history and convenient, yet removed from the busy tourist areas. We found the location to be perfect for both water transport access as well as walking. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly at the train station platform and given a personal tour of the area by our hosts. The apartment itself is outstanding--spacious, clean, and tastefully renovated and decorated to a high standard. AC works great and large swing/vent windows allow cross breezes. There are mosquito repellent plug-ins within the apartment, and spray provided. Very well equipped kitchen and pantry area with full fridge and W/D unit (that actually dried...rare in Europe). Our hosts thoughtfully provided milk, juice, water, butter, bread, etc. Kitchen has every appliance and utensil you might need. There is also a thorough handbook of suggested restaurants and plenty of guidebooks in the extensive library. Note that there is no elevator in the building, so plan to carry luggage up 2 flight of stairs. Pack light for Venice...its cobblestone walkways and bridges are challenging for hauling bags around. We were able to walk from the train station with our carry-on luggage. Do not hesitate to rent this amazing apartment for your stay in Venice! You will not be disappointed. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.
