Stayed Dec 31, 1969I am a regular visitor to Bansko and have rented the studio several times since Predela 1 opened. Previously I had to endure the morning minibus commute from more distant accommodation. The joy of being able to walk (I guess about 5-10min)-downhill to the gondola station and when conditions allow, ski almost to the block makes it all much more fun. The apartment is for it's name, quite spacious,it's ,clean, comfortable and well equipped for self catering although eating out and apres ski is so easy and good value that a leisurely breakfast to start is all I need. I have been several times with friends who rented family size apartments on the same floor.Easy therefore for extended family use.The management and staff are friendly and helpful. I must say I have always felt secure and welcome. I shall be returning soon! PS.New last time was a hire shop in the block just a few paces from the entrance - even less hassle. One dislike- tea !.Pack your favourite brand, enjoy!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed here in a studio apartment over Christmas as we came for the skiing. The apartment complex is well positioned - only a 5 minute walk to the gondola but in a peaceful side road. We found Christina and her team to be very friendly; welcoming and thoughtful (especially when my partner hurt his back skiing). We were also lucky enough to be there when Jane (who was our initial Owners Direct contact) was staying in her own apartment. The apartment was a good size for two people, the internet was pretty good and the swimming pool and spa area was worth having (though we didn't use it as much as we'd planed - due to my partners back). We self catered a fair bit and found the kitchen area a little small but it had everything we needed (The sink had no draining board - but Jane supplied us with a plate rack in a tray which worked well). Our apartment faced another apartment block, so there was no real view but The apartment still felt pretty light. The sofa in the room was well positioned (but not particularly comfy) - It had the potential to pull out as a sofa bed (good for a larger number of guests). We liked having the table (four chairs) and there was a massive wardrobe for storing clothes etc. We particularly liked the little entrance porch where we could take off shoes and outer clothes and also a big airer which we could dry our ski stuff on. The bathroom was fine - we knew in advance it was only going to have a shower - a bath would have been fab but would have taken up too much space. We would definitely recommend the Predela, particularly if it's your first visit to Bansko for skiing, as everything is within walking distance. For eating out there are lots of places in the more touristy bit but we'd definitely recommend making the longer walk to the old town - prices are cheaper and it's even more relaxed. We booked our transfers (from Sofia) and skiing with Traventuria. Who took us door to door for a very reasonable price. We didn't need our own transport at all. It's worth pointing out that I'd never never been on a skiing holiday before - so I have nothing to compare it to - But we did loads of research before our holiday as we were on a very tight budget Bansko and Predela are great value for money.
