The Lavender house was an amazing stay and find. It was extremely cozy and spotless when I arrived. Monica was a great host and so accommodating. She always checked on how things were going and if I needed anything for the apartment. I highly recommend it and if I ever have a trip to New Orleans I would love to stay, again!

I stayed at the Lavender House for 4 months while working in New Orleans, and was grateful to have chosen it as my home. The neighborhood is safe and a short walk to grocery stores, a coffee shop, and other businesses. If you're visiting for vacation, I recommend walking 5 minutes over to city park to enjoy some beignets and a walk through the oak trees. The queen bed is very comfortable. I also slept on the pull-out couch. It's okay. About average for a pull-out. Orleans Ave gets a moderate amount of through-traffic, so there's a little bit of road noise. Nothing major, didn't disturb me. There is another tenant upstairs in the building, so I often heard footsteps from above. However, other sounds (such as voices) did not travel through at all. There are in-window A/C units and two space heaters. I was comfortable temperature-wise in every season. I cook a lot. The kitchen is well-stocked and met all of my needs. The laundry room is on the back side of the house (you do have to walk outside) and shared with a couple other tenants. Monica was an excellent host who was always available to help out if I needed anything. I highly recommend this rental.

Monica is the best host! She thinks of everything. Fresh fruit, fresh flowers, even rain coats.

This was our 3rd time at Lavender House and for sure not the last. And at every return, there is something new for the guests (barbecue, bikes, etc). Lavender is a cozy place in a quiet street in Midcity, close to everywhere in New Orleans. Within walking distance of City Park, you can also walk to the JazzFest fairground or catch a streetcar two blocks from the house. There are 2 very close supermarkets and many other restaurants around. The hostess is also an incredible person and easily accessible by text or personally. The place is fully equipped, spotlessly clean and also has a fenced countyard for the BBQ or a glass of wine! We challenge you to give another rate different from 5 stars!

The accommodations were clean, comfortable, with everything we needed, and perfectly located for travel in and around New Orleans. Monica provided all the conveniences for our stay, and was always available if we had any questions. This is our favorite place to stay in New Orleans, and we would highly recommend Monica and the Lavender House if you are traveling to the area.

We stayed at the Lavender House for a month while our house was being renovated. This was the perfect location for us and easy to get to from anywhere. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. So it was indeed our home away from home. I also appreciate that Monica was there to take care of every need and we felt safe and secure. Thank you!
