Melissa Penthouse at the Emir

We were very impressed with the apartment complex. Just the right size so never over crowded and there were lots of sun beds etc. to go round. Our teen son made lots of friends and loved hanging out by the pool.The apartment itself contained everything we needed and the views were breathtaking. There was plenty of room inside and outdoor space. The water cooler was a life saver and the staff replenished this as needed for a small charge. Aytach, Michu and the rest of the staff team were very helpful, approachable and friendly, especially when our son was poorly, they were on hand to help even without being asked.We’ll definitely stay again if we return to Kalkan.

We had the most brilliant stay with our two kids - 9 and 12. It’s a fairly easy walk in and out of town but the apartment is also perfect for staying and cooking in. All the neighbours were lovely too. Looking at rebooking soon.

The apartment has everything we could need / want from a holiday. The kitchen is brand new and if we wanted to cook there was plenty of utensils etc. we made use making simple lunches but preferred to eat out at the array of fantastic restaurants that Kalkan has to offer. The apartment itself is beautifully presented offering the most gorgeous views of Kalkan / the bay. The layout worked perfect for us. The pictures don’t do it justice. We found the pool area pretty, clean and spacious. Never busy and was kept immaculate. As a family with 3 older teens this apartment provided us with space. The wrap around balcony on top floor is a great place to relax at the end of the evening. It has lots of different seating areas which was great for us with older girls who wanted their own area to chill. The location for us worked well and was close to supermarket, bakery, greengrocer. It was an easy walk into town (even with the intense heat of 40 degreees) we even walked back at the end of the evening. Having usually stayed Kalamar end of town it was a nice change for us not to jump in taxis. The girls enjoyed going off to the lime bar / restaurant for pancakes most days. We had a minor issue on arrival as our room was not ready but this was quickly resolved. I would recommend this accommodation and will definitely stay here again. Thank you

The apartment is beautiful and the staff great. I did not get the impression from the staff or guests that they were used to kids around. Its a lovely apartment and no complaints but i think suited to older families / couples etc rather than young kids.

Melissa is a perfect apartment in Kalkan. The Penthouse terrace gave us a the most wonderful views of Kalkan but also privacy and our own area for evening drinks and games on the terrace as the sun disappeared over the mountains. Our teenage daughter had her own balcony where she could sit with her brother for some get-away time, and the layout of the apartment was ideal with so many opportunities to see the sea and Kalkan from all the front windows and doors. Great walk into town and easy to get back to the flat without need for a taxi. The manager was very helpful and the apartment block was quiet and the other guests respectful and friendly. The place was perfect for our teenagers who were near enough to town to have their independence. I would highly recommend this perfect penthouse for a stay in Kalkan. It would suit 2 or 3 couples or a family with older children. It would also suit friends sharing as the rooms are spacious and there are 2 good bathrooms and great conveniences (lots of clothes hangers, hairdryers, bins emptied daily etc). We loved our time there. If I were to return to Kalkan I would stay at Melissa again. Thanks to the fantastic hosts!

The apartment and complex are well maintained, with very helpful complex manager on hand for any queries or issues. The Melissa Penthouse is well equipped, with great views from the roof terrace over Kalkan. It is located only 5-10 min walk into town. Will definitely be returning.

This apartment was everything we hoped for, comfortable, with great balconies and views, as well as being close enough to walk into Kalkan in about 10 minutes. There were so many extras that are rarely available in rented apartments e.g. a water dispenser (which saved carrying so many heavy bottles and was cheaper), a choice of pillows, so many utensils and glasses of all types. We couldn’t of asked for more. It is so well maintained and the 2 pools were warm and often empty. We always managed to get sun beds and they were comfortable too. Added to which the apartment was cleaned 3 times during our stay, with clean bedding and towels, with bins emptied daily. The views from the top balcony are amazing, such a lovely place to chill in the evening after a long hot day. The hills are steep on the way back up to the apartment so we often resorted to a taxi, £2-3 we’ll spent! A variety of supermarkets, bars and restaurants are close by but the best are in the main town. Don’t forget to get a visa for your stay, we weren’t aware of the need for this so had to buy this at the airport and fortunately had sufficient UK currency to pay the £20 charge for each person. We also wish we’d taken more Uk currency as that seems to be the preferred currency in shops rather than Turkish Lira. We would love to return, thank you Jayne for letting us rent your beautiful apartment.

The views from Melissa penthouse were the best we have encountered. The Emir complex is well looked after and we had a brilliant holiday in Kalkan.
