Living in the heart of Ludwigsburg

My sister, mom, and I used this property as a home base for a week while we explored southern Germany's wonderful Christmas markets. This charming, centrally located apartment has everything required for a comfortable stay, and Madeleine is a kind and wonderful host. I would recommend it to any small family or small group of adults looking for cozy accommodations in the area.

This apartment has everything we were looking for. - clean and cozy - modern bathroom and kitchen - a perfect combination of old and new with a lot of clever designs - well equipped - a friendly and very accommodating host - close to shops, restaurants - walking distance to public transport We were ready to move in for good and never leave again.

The apartment is large and conveniently located in central Ludwigsburg, within walking distance of main sights and shopping. The train station is about 10-15 minutes on foot. The apartment is more than adequate for a couple or family.

My wife, son, and I had a great stay for three nights in this apartment in Ludwigsburg. Our host, Madeleine, was welcoming and generous, even moving her car so we could park right outside of the apartment for the duration of our stay, and provided us with daily parking passes (3 euro each) so we didn't have to go locate them ourselves. On Madeleine's recommendation, we used public transit exclusively as there's a lot of road construction in and around Stuttgart. The train station is a comfortable 15 minute walk from the apartment and from there, you can get access to all of the trains and buses in and around Stuttgart. We ended up buying a Stuttcart city card from the Ludwigsburg information center which included free access to all of the public transportation as well as entrance to many museums and attractions. Turned out to be a great bargain because we used the transit system so much. The apartment was really a treat for us. Located on a quiet street, it has lots of room to spread out with a bedroom for my wife and I and a separate bedroom for my son, a living room and large kitchen. The kitchen is beautiful with modern appliances and while we ate out for lunch, we chose to cook all of our dinners in the apartment (grocery store in a shopping mall is a 5 minute walk) - partially because we were watching World Cup matches in the evenings. I'm not sure if I'll be in the Stuttgart area again, but if I am, I will definitely stay in this apartment. It couldn't have been more comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ludwigsburg. This apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. Madeline and family live upstairs and we're always ready with good information and things to see. We stayed here in mid-December and walked the 3-4 blocks to the Christmas market. There are also several grocery stores, restaurants and malls within walking distance. The spacious apartment is in a safe neighborhood and the only real challenge is finding parking if you bring a car. You may have to park a block or so away until a closer space is available. Madeline makes parking passes available and this makes managing keeping yourself legally parked.

Looking for a place to stay for several weeks is almost as critical as looking for a second home. This apartment offered us was we needed away from home. I had some concerns bevor the travel, yet the apartment and furnishing were better than advertised. Even the bathroom offered room for toiletries and towels, which was one of my concerns. Finding a desk in the second bedroom provided me with a home office area. The wireless correction was available and fast all day long. The highlight was the night light in the bedroom with remotely adjustable colors and effects. The location is perfect in a quiet street, yet in the middle of the city and in proximity (2-5min walk) of everything one may need: shopping centers, groceries stores, pharmacies, restaurants, etc. Madeleine was very friendly. We had family visit during our stay and Madeleine made sure our guests got what they needed for a cosy night during cold weather. We sure enjoyed our stay there and will definitely look for the availability should we be in the region again.
