Le Pont Royal, Spectacular Views of Loire & Bridge from huge, private terrace !

This is a wonderful property. The communication with the owners was fantastic from booking to end of stay. The property is in a wonderful position in Amboise centre, close to restaurants and a small supermarket. We stay in lots of properties but this was one of the best. The apartment is not big but has everything you need and a wonderful terrace that gets shade or sun all day. The owners provide lots of things to get you started from coffee, milk, wine to shower gels and washing tablets. The only note of caution is the apartment is accessed by 2 flights of steep wooden stairs so if you struggle with stairs choose another one of the owners fantastic selection of apartments in Amboise. We were lucky enough to stay here for the Bastille Day fireworks and had the best seats in the house for a spectacular display.

Le Pont Royal has a great location for visiting Amboise, right beside the chateau and the commercial area for restaurants and so forth. Also a good central location for Chenonceaux , Chambord and other chateaux. The apartment was well equipped once we figured out how to use the induction stove. We had to give 4 star rating as the unit is located up two flights of a steep spiral staircase, which we found difficult to manage at ages 77 and 75.

We stayed here several nights while exploring Amboise and the Loire valley. This apartment is within walking distance from Clos Luce and just behind Chateau Amboise. You can walk to everything! Other chateaux are within an easy day’s drive. Nice bathroom and kitchen appliances. The deck is the most amazing thing—it has a priceless view of the river. So beautiful and peaceful. It is roomy and very comfortable- we had everything we needed. The hosts were fantastic. I wish I had a month to live there and just take everything in. Five star often on VRBO means little due to the review process. This is a REAL 5-star!!! Communication brilliant, instructions and self check in were a breeze. Simple things like available coffee, milk, bottle of Rose and cold water in fridge and ice in freezer make you feel welcome. Bedroom has great skylight, kitchen is perfectly equipped for a week stay. Living area/kitchen has wonderful space and light. Best is the balcony with view of Loire (perfect location for best firework display on 14th July). Balcony has great sun/shade option and is well protected From the wind. Just a perfect place to relax between the local chateaus. Loads of river adventures. Canoe, kayak, sunset boat trips all within a short distance. 2/3 a way into a seven month trip this is definitely the best VRBO we experienced.

The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. After a month of moving around each place we have stayed missed something or other. These owners have thought of absolutely everything. Located right in the centre of Amboise, it also has a magnificent view over the river. We spent a lot of time sitting on the large balcony, eating al fresco or having sunset drinks. I thoroughly recommend this place.

Our stay in Amboise was absolute perfection! The apartment was a great size for our family of 4. The hosts create such a comfortable space and even supplied milk and coffee. They went above and beyond to help us feel at home and were quick to respond to any questions. The location couldn't have been more perfect.

Outstanding property! Superb in every way. Location was excellent, right next to the Chateau and a minute walk into the town center. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped with kitchen accessories. The terrace was wonderful! Self check-in was easy and Steve is an excellent host. Highly recommended. Hated to leave this place after our 5-night stay. The only warning is the narrow 2-flight staircase leading up to the apartment. But I am 71 years old and it was easily manageable for me. I would stay here again without question.
