Stayed Mar 18, 2017My husband and I were thrilled with the accommodations. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, the living room had comfy seating with a tv and great working internet and ceiling fan, and the bedroom had a comfy bed with air conditioning. We loved the little garden patio area where we ate and hung out. There was a good, inside a gate, place to park our rental car. We were able to reach all the areas of Guadeloupe easily from there and stop on the way back at the local beach, or restaurants. I'd definitely book this VRBO again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a very good experience staying at the property. This is a convenient location and it's very private. A great outdoor dining room overlooks a splendid tropical garden. The place is also very secure. The owner is very nice and helpful.

Stayed Jan 26, 2016We had a wonderful experience with our VRBO stay in Le Gosier, Gaudeloupe! Our host, Jérôme, was wonderful. Prior to arrival, we emailed Jérôme with a few questions which he promptly answered. The property was spotless, and just as described. My husband and I came with our two teenage daughters, and it was a perfect size for us. We were welcomed with fresh fruit and a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Jérôme's garden. The kitchen had everything you could need, including fresh coffee! The place is private & secure, and about a 3 minute drive to lovely city center of Le Gosier, where you can find wonderful little restaurants and markets. It was a great base to explore both Grand Terre and Basse Terre, which we did. We were about 16K from our new favorite beach, and the islands are small enough you can explore everything. Jérôme even provided us with a list of his must see places to go, and we went to almost every place on the list, and we were not disappointed. We loved the clean, white sand beaches of Saint Ann, and we climbed the volcano at Saint Claude, and explored the black volcanic beaches of Basse Terre. He even told us where to catch the best sunsets! Make sure you head over to Réserve Cousteau on Basse Terre, at Bouillante. The snorkeling is brilliant. The people we met on the island were warm and friendly. Note, not many people speak English, so please practice your French before you go. But as always when you travel, if you try to speak the language, the people will certainly work with you. We loved everything about the island, about our stay, and about our holiday accommodations. I would also **highly** recommend a trip to New Ti Paris, a pizza/bar/jazz club in Le Goseir. Friday nights are really hopping, and the music is amazing (and if you are lucky, you will get to see your host Jérôme perform - he is a world class Jazz sax player!) Other tips- trade your dollars for Euros before you arrive, and make sure you have lots of small money. A lot of places don't except big bills (like 50's) or credit cards. I was told US dollars were accepted but did not find that to be true. Also, if you rent a car, spend the extra 6EU a day to rent a GPS. A lot of places don't have street addresses, they use Long/Lat but we just did a search on the GPS to get around. All in all, a wonderful spot to stay in the Caribbean. Enjoy!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This apartment is 20 minutes from the airport and centrally located for exploring both parts of the island. It is on a quiet cul-de-sac but a short drive to a main road (N4), a supermarket, restaurants, and beaches. (It is not on a beach; the closest beach is 1 to 2 km away, but the most attractive beaches nearby are in Sainte-Anne.) The feeling is of a tranquil oasis in the middle of an urban area. A cow is tethered across the street. The spacious and clean apartment is indeed exactly as in the description and photos. It has a well-stocked kitchen, a living room, a bathroom with reliably hot water, and a comfortable queen bed in an air-conditioned bedroom. You can eat breakfast on the terrace looking out onto a lovely private garden with bougainvillea. Secure parking is available inside the garden gate. The host, Jérôme, is a teacher who lives with his charming daughter in the villa above the apartment. He is exceptionally generous and helpful, providing excellent recommendations. He told us about a market and carnival that we would not otherwise have known about. He is also a talented jazz musician. If you are lucky, you may hear him play at the New Ti Paris, a club just around the corner that you should visit anyway. He may be too modest to mention his music, so be sure to ask him!

Stayed Dec 7, 2015The apartment was very clean and looked just liked the photos. Having a full kitchen was great since many of the restaurants do not serve food during mid-day between i think 2-7. Also there is a small washing machine which comes in handy Good location between both islands and near the tourist spots in Gosier and Sainte Anne. However beaware leaving around 7:30 in the morning and coming back 7 at night there is a lot of traffic. Jerome was very friendly and welcoming. He even gave us some ideas on where to go which was nice. Jerome also speaks some English which is a plus. We did not meet to many locals that spoke English. I would say each place we went there was probably one person who spoke English which is more than we were expecting.
