Yes, you CAN have it all! Experience the magic of the French countryside in this charming, roomy, lofty apartment in a 250 year old country, stone farmhouse.
Located just 15 minutes away from Amboise, one of the most visited cities in France, it’s the perfect starting point for an enchanting discovery tour of France’s glorious historical past.
The Loire flows majestically through this historical castle-studded valley, recently listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Fields and forests are the views from your cozy nest.

The farmhouse loft has just been renovated, with a new kitchen, and a new inviting cool blue swimming pool.
With leafy gardens around, the pool is perfect for cooling off if you are here in the summer. Deck chairs are provided.

A separate entrance with a sturdy staircase takes you up to the spacious 2 bedroom loft (900 square feet), where you will marvel at the beautifully exposed, original, rough-hewn beams and stone walls.

The main bedroom has a California King sized bed, and includes a sitting area, and 2 windows looking over the Valley.

The large, dormer window, glassed entrance, and round oeil-de-boeuf window in the second bedroom, flood the room with soft light and provide a pleasant view of the original 16th century well, and farmhouse grounds.
This bedroom has a double bed, and is separated from the salon and kitchen area by French doors.

The spacious living area includes 2 sofas (one becomes a double bed), and flat screen TV, with international channels included.

The new and modern bathroom with its comfortable, large oval soaking tub/shower stands in harmony with the ancient beams and angled walls. We enjoyed searching high and low for the antique furnishings.

The functional kitchen is equipped with cooktop, oven, microwave, drip coffer maker, refrigerator, dishwasher, and all you'll need to create meals from the fresh meats and produce found in the local, open markets.
There is a full sized washer/dryer combo (washing machine that also dries).
There is a dining table which seats 4.

This lofty apartment is equipped with WiFi and Free Long Distance phone calls.

If you are here in the spring, summer or fall, you, too, can explore the local vide greniers (community garage sales) or the many antique stores in the area. Treasures can be found!

Explore Amboise, only 15 minutes away, with it’s fortressed walls, ancient clock-tower, the Royal Chateau d’Amboise, and the special jewel, Clos Luce, the magnificent home where Leonardo da Vinci spent the last years of his life, now a museum and tribute to his genius.
Just 30 minutes away by car or a delightful bike ride is Chenonceau, the darling of the Loire Valley Chateaux.
Nearby, Chambord with its many turrets or Vilandry, with its amazingly beautiful ornamental gardens of colorful vegetables should be next on your agenda as they shouldn't be missed.
Wine enthusiasts will also be delighted by and abundance of wine tasting cellars in the area-Vouvray, Chinon, St Nicolas de Bourgeuil, Sancerre, etc. Local wine estates welcome visitors.

If you’re the outdoor type, one of the longest and most picturesque bicycle trails in Europe as well as section of the Grande Randonnee (France’s answer to the John Muir Trail) pass through Amboise, for your cycling and hiking enjoyment.
Bicycles can be rented from several locations in Amboise or if you bring your own, we can shelter them in our barn.

You can visit the twice-weekly open-air market in Amboise, along the Loire, and pick up something delicious to eat.
If you had your big meal in the afternoon, as the French do, you can enjoy a simple light meal at home, with a crusty baguette from our village bakery, that you've picked up fresh-baked in the morning, or you can purchase a sampling of Madame Bodet's (our neighbor) chevre (goat) cheeses, which this region in France is known for, or buy sausages and other meats from the local animal reserve, Beaumarchais.
Your meal will be complimented with a robust red wine or sparkling, slightly fruity Vouvray from one of the many local wineries.

Feel like going out
Our village is the home of the Restaurant Auberge de la Brenne, renowned for its gastronomical sampling of local specialties.
There is also a plethora of restaurants in all price ranges from country casual to city elegant, within 20 minutes of the farmhouse and we’d  be happy to recommend some to you.
The charming French owners of this historic, stone farmhouse, Muriel & Michel, are glad to offer assistance by pointing you in interesting directions.
They hope to make your stay not only one you will long remember, but one you will long to return to, time and time again !

We had a wonderful time at Le Plessis. Michel and Muriel were fabulous hosts- very friendly and generous. The pool was lovely, though due to the weather we weren't able to use it as much as we would have liked. Beautiful grounds, surrounded by lovely countryside - so quiet and peaceful. We loved having the sheep and chickens roaming around nearby. The 2 cats were an added bonus as we're both cat lovers! We have visited the Loire valley 4 times and this was, by far, the best place we have stayed. Thank you to our lovely hosts for the longest aperitif evening ever (6 and a half hours!) with lots of drinks, snacks and laughs!! We felt genuinely sad to leave. We were so quiet and relaxed that on a couple of occasions, the owners were worried something had happened to us and came to check we were ok! It's ok, Michel and Muriel- we're not dead! Hahaha. Such a wonderful time, thank you xxx

We had a magical time staying at Le Plessis! Michele & Muriel were incredible hosts. It was peaceful and not too far to Amboise. We had everything we needed at the house and felt so relaxed. The children loved the pool and we had so much space to enjoy time together on our summer holiday. Recommend this property highly if you are traveling to the Loire region with kids! (Our children are 7 and 12). Also we found a little winery only 5 min away! Definitely recommend this for a lovely and memorable holiday!

We visited chateaux east of Amboise and this was the perfect base. We were exhausted at the end of each day so accommodation in town would be a waste and parking a hassle. This farm house was very convenient to main road but quiet and the couple who own it are perfect.

This was a wonderful find. Le Plessis is a fantastic place to stay. Muriel and Michel are lovely and make your stay perfect. The loft is very spacious, spotlessly clean, fully equipped and really comfortable. Our daughter enjoyed her time in the pool and it is an ideal location to explore the Loire Valley. Le Plessis is completely peaceful and in a stunning location. We had probably our best stay in France here, and we would love to return. My only concern in praising this so much is that others will snap it up first!

Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful, on call throughout our stay. The pool was a very welcome addition to cool day after a day exploring. Beautiful accommodation in a very rural quite location.

My friend and I stayed at one of the manager's great Paris apartments first, before opting for a French Country experience. Our stay in this huge apartment, over what was once the stables, was paradise. The tall ceilings, the amazing beams, and exposed stone. It was historic, but modern, with fast Internet, free calls to Canada, and English T.V. channels. We were minutes from Amboise, a town with lots to see, including DaVinci's home, the Royal Palace, and the open market. There was a yummy bakery in the small town, and a very upper end restaurant too - delicious! The owners of the farm were so nice and helpful, and the grounds well kept. We especially enjoyed feeding our left over bread to the friendly sheep in their field, and relaxing under the oaks, after visiting a chateau per day. We highly recommend this rental to families who want to discover the Loire Valley, and experience the best of the French countryside

My husband and I stayed in Le loft for a week last year and couldn't have been happier. It was everything we had ever dreamed of and even more! I'm writing this so late because I thought I had written a review but then realised I had only written in the guest book at Le Loft when we left. Everyone should know how wonderful this place is! We had just finished a fairly hectic 5 week tour of the UK, followed by visiting World War 1 and World War 2 sites in France so we were really in need of a rest. We found the place quite easily , thanks to Steven's very good directions and with help from our sat nav. We were greeted warmly by Steven, but Veronica wasn't there as she was away and not coming back until that night. When she did arrive she had the flu and was sick the whole time we were there for which she was very apologetic but she really needed to rest, which of course, we understood. Le Loft itself has all mod cons whilst being a very old farmhouse. The bed was comfortable, it was peaceful and quiet, beautiful views from the balcony---everything you could ask for in farmhouse accommodation. We had a great thunderstorm one night that went on for hours with lightning constantly flashing through the forest next door--it was wonderful. We even had visits from green tree frogs because it was quite humid and even hot some days we were there. Thank heavens for the ceiling fans! We were able to get our washing done there which was piling up after so long on the road without stopping for more than one night and Steven kindly helped with the washing machine and dryer. He was also most helpful with things to do in the surrounding areas and we only managed to cover a fraction of what he suggested! We did go to the local famous top class restaurant, Auberge de la Brenne which he recommended and we had an amazing meal there. There is just so much to see in this area and Le Loft is a perfect base, much better than staying in a hotel in a city. Just go there and see for yourself---you will never regret it! it's perfect.
