Stayed Jun 15, 2019We received a warm and friendly reception from Alexander and Melanie who are superb hosts. We have some basic German but they were keen to practice their English on us! The appartment is fantastically comfortable, very modern in many ways yet traditional in others. The two balconies are excellently located to take advantage of the sunshine. The appartment is equipped with everything one could need for a vacation. Everything was absolutely spotless, the bed superbly comfortable and the storage space was excellent. The bathroom was spacious with a choice of bath or shower. The kitchen every possible appliance and again were so clean, they looked brand new. Umhausen is a charming village with great views of the surrounding mountains. There are so many activities that a week is barely enough time to take in everything. Supermarkets and bakeries are 5 minutes away and there is a filling station just around the corner. Umhausen is an excellent base to explore the mountain pass into Italy and the glaciers of the Oetz Alps. We would rate Umhausen, and this appartment, as one of the best places in Europe for a vacation.

Stayed Dec 18, 2015We spent one week during Christmas and had a wonderful time. The owners, Melanie and Alexander, are fabulous hosts. They were very attentive and helpful whenever we needed something. The house is really nice and had everything we needed. We had a fire place and Alexander provided firewood to make make cozy fires and sit in the living room to read or look out the windows at the mountains. There are many outdoor options to keep busy and active. The town is very quaint and we enjoyed strolling along everyone day. We attended Christmas Eve Children's Service and enjoyed watching the little ones of the village portray the nativity scene and sing songs. A very meaningful experience for our families. This is a lovely house with amazing caretakers. Thanks so much Melanie and Alexander!!
