Lake Merritt Beauty - WIFI, Parking, Sleeps 4

The apartment was lovely, spacious, and welcoming. Parking was convenient. Check-in was a breeze, and Karina was a very thoughtful host. Communication was easy. I would gladly stay here again.

Very clean and tastefully decorated apartment, perfect for multiple day stay for a couple. We held a dinner party for 7 comfortably as well. Driveway is very skinny and steep, We kept our car at the top entrance without issue.

Lovely apartment, all the amenities, very comfortable and the host was quick to respond to questions. I will stay here again when I return to the Bay Area.

This was a good stay. The hosts were kinda and responsive. The house is nice but had bad sound insulation. We could hear the dog upstairs, conversations our hosts were having, and the neighbors had a loud get together that kept us up till late at night on Friday. The house also needs some small repairs like a new kitchen faucet and working cold water in one of the bathroom sinks.It was a good location for us and we appreciated that we had access to parking. The neighborhood is safe but there is a lot of trash etc. on the street in the area.

Although I expected the house to be closer to Lake Merritt, it was convenient access to freeway and downtown Oakland. The house was equipped with everything I needed and the host was responsive to any questions I had.

We enjoyed 5 days in this spacious apartment within walking distance of Lake Merritt. The neighborhood is quiet and parking is available. The kitchen had everything we needed and the courtyard offered lovely space to relax in the afternoon sun. Karina was very responsive and check-in and out instructions were clear and concise. We loved the decor/vibe of this place. Spacious and thoughtfully decorated. The kitchen was sooo well-equipped—I brought spices and a nutribullet, none of which I needed! The downstairs patio was so lovely and peaceful, I wish we’d had time to use it more. So nice to let our dog out down the stairs first thing in the Morning. Only 10 Minutes’ drive away from Our daughter, it was fairly convenient. Didn’t adore the neighborhood, but it was mostly quiet. Jerl, one of the hosts, was friendly, helpful, and responsive to the few requests we had.2 notes: their dog, Sushi, whined st night when no one was there. And bed is very soft, a bit too much for us other reviewers have loved it).

What a GEM! The apartment is so cute and cozy with all the amenities you need! The bed was SO comfortable!The locations is killer, super close to the lake and lots of places to explore! Wonderful, friendly and communicative hosts. We have family very close by and would absolutely stay here again!

The home was nicely arranged wit whatever we needed for our stay. Nice touch was creamer and coffee for first day or two of coffee which many hosts don't have available

Extremely clean with all provided house supplies easy to locate. Having access to the driveway was really great for avoiding street parking. Also it's a great place to stay if you have little ones they provide small basic furnitures like high chairs and stools.

We stayed at this very comfortable property for four nights. It’s as the description says - no fisheye lenses or exaggerations. The bed is very comfy, as is the living room furniture. Full kitchen with everything you’ll need. At first we were a bit concerned about the neighborhood, but I felt perfectly safe walking to the store. Our host was remarkable. PG&E shut off the power for a few hours one day, which messed up their modem. Rather than have me wait until it was convenient for her, Karina went to the store, got the new modem and had the WiFi up and running while we were out. Do not let the exterior of the home fool you when you first pull up. Once inside the home is clean and nearly new with contempt modern style. One and one half bath was nice for the three of us. The back yard space is great! HOST was great allowed us to drop off luggage and dog earlier than check in time.. I forgot my toothbrush and toothpaste. The only thing that I would suggest is stocking extra toiletries in the bathrooms. The home was clean except for a bit of hair left in the shower drain. It is well stocked with linen dishes extra blankets and pillows. The faucet handle in the kitchen was missing but it was still operable. The kitchen and bathrooms are nicely updated and the overall decor and Furnishings work well in the space and are functional. We brought cards because we like to play games. Games were not found and we did not ask host for any but it would have been nice to have some handy.. We came to the City for a Giants game this location was perfect not to far away. The Host had a single stem rose in the Kitchen next to the sink freshly cut I thought was nice and welcoming.

Very nice and it was easy to walk to Lake Merritt. I did not rent a car and found it relatively easy to get public transit, including the train to SF. Host very nice and responsive.

Loved the house and all but sadly our car was damaged when someone was trying to break in

Loved the apartment for its charm, neighborhood and comfort. Stayed 10 days and enjoyed our days before going to the festival. Convenient to use Uber, we would come back next year

We stayed in this wonderful apartment for six weeks during an extended visit with our family in Oakland. The apartment was well suited to our needs - with a location convenient to family, restaurants, and shopping in the Lake Merritt area. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well appointed with suitable furniture, bedding, kitchen, laundry, and bath supplies. Because of this it worked very well for being able to host our family for several meals over the thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. In addition to the apartment we were welcome to use a lovely backyard space. The host, Karina was very friendly, flexible, and responsive to all of our questions and requests. Her communications in advance regarding the apartment and her expectations during our stay were clear, reasonable, and accurate. She was very hospitable and even offered us some extra furniture to use for our holiday gatherings when we hosted our family. The neighborhood was very walkable with nearby restaurants, groceries and other shopping. We are experienced with city life, and felt reasonably safe, walking dogs in the surrounding neighborhood. We could not be more pleased with our stay and are grateful to our host Karina for the opportunity to stay in this lovely spacious suite.

Just what we wanted

Hosts were super friendly and accessible. Place was as expected. Would agree with other comments that you want a small car for the driveway not a minivan like we ended up with! I would also agree that a queen bed would be more desirable. A double is pretty small these days. Appreciated the amenities. The back yard is beautiful and a calm respite. Overall, very nice.

The neighborhood has issues with a homeless population which every big city faces today. But with that said, everyone I spoke to in the neighborhood was super kind and we never felt unsafe. extremely tight

I was very pleased with the proximity of this place to where my cousins live (there are plenty of nearby restaurants, so we ate out). The best part was being able to do laundry as I had another week of traveling!
