This beautiful three bedroom apartment is loaded with historic charm and located in the heart of the canal era town, Historic Roscoe Village. The apartment is within walking distance of terrific restaurants, bars and all of the shops in Roscoe Village. Immerse yourself in this nearly 200 year old building, which used to be a hotel back when it was originally built, and has been home to a number of businesses over the decades.

Downtown Coshocton is 2 minutes, Kid's America 10 minutes, Clary Gardens 3 minutes, Lake Park 5 minutes, West Lafayette and Warsaw 10 minutes. South Second Street (5 minutes) is where you will find fast food, pizza, discount stores and gas stations. EV chargers are located across from COTC on N. Whitewoman St. in Roscoe Village.

You are staying in the restored Roscoe Hotel (circa 1856). The building was built by Arnold Medbery and it replaced Medbery’s earlier, wood framed hotel (built 1832) that burned. This building was also a stagecoach stop and was believed to have been on the Underground Railroad. The building housed retail businesses on the main level, sleeping rooms on the second and third floors, and a ballroom on the top floor.

The wood floors are from trees as far back as the 1600's and the original plaster walls have some cracks from nearly 170 years that add charm and character to the rooms. There was no electricity or cars and Ohio was just over 40 years old when this building was populated by early European settlers moving west. Millard Fillmore was president and the American civil war was still years away. This is no ordinary airbnb apartment, we have added modern conveniences but tried to keep the historical integrity alive for your enjoyment.
We ask for general noise consideration given their are other guests in the building.

The property is in a very cute, charming area. Walking distance to restaurants, coffee shop, shopping, wine, etc. It’s a pretty spacious apartment, three bedrooms. One nice little touch that the owner left us was a gift of chocolate covered pretzels :) Overall, I am rating the property, a little lower, because it is in need of some TLC. The furniture and curtains are pretty dingy, dirty and worn. The bedding is pretty dingy and old as well- probably just needs to be washed. The apt is in need of a deep clean. I did contact the owner and he said that he would look into these cleaning issues. We only used one bed, the one next to the bathroom, so I cannot speak for all, but there were two very thin pillows, and the bed was overall very uncomfortable. Maxx, the owner is extremely communicative and accommodating as stated in the other reviews. He also gave very detailed check in information which was very helpful.

Comfy place. Dog across the hall was a little loud but not any problem. The manager of the property was amazing to deal with. So easy all the way through

Had a great time staying here in downtown Roscoe Village! We came down for the Wine your way out event held at the KOA in Coshocton. We visited 2 local farmers markets, Killing Trees winery and ate at the Warehouse and Hicks Tavern! Can’t recommend Indian Bear coffee enough! So delicious and conveniently located downstairs! The ambiance of this historic area is quaint and relaxing. 10/10 and we will be back again!

We really enjoyed the village! A few to many stairs. My fault, I should have investigated more. Over all, I would come back. Although, They auto add early and late check out fees without consent! I neither checked in early, nor out late. Comm was not quick.. otherwise I COULD have checked in early! ✌️

What an amazing place.my husband and myself and another couple spent the weekend at Roscoe village and stayed at King Charlie's place. the building was so rich in history that it is a perfect place to stay while visiting Roscoe village .the suite with spacious with high ceilings, comfortable beds and outdoor space. the central location was perfect with restaurants across the street and and was a nice spot to stop and drop off packages and take a little break while shopping and exploring .This is a place we will return to again and again
