King Bed Suite in Historic Downtown Charleston

Beautiful spot to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was very clean and hosts were welcoming and easy to work with. Central location was also a plus and the restaurant on the property was delicious. Highly recommend!

Beautiful space! A bit hard to locate and the door was wide open, so we were worried that we were in the wrong unit. Wonderful coffee and amazing beds!

We both loved staying at the Charlestonian! The location is perfect for exploring Charleston either on foot, or in our case, utilizing a short Uber ride. The unit is comfortable for a couple and maybe a third adult or child. This first floor unit has a nice, private, side porch to enjoy a drink in the afternoon. There is another private small porch off the main bedroom that we did not use as it just faces the alley entrance. There is a tasty soup and sandwich shop called Ladles steps away in the basement of the main house. Next door is gourmet dining at South Bound which we did not try. This small unit has everything you need. High end kitchen appliances, all utensils, coffee bar, built in refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. There are some tight spaces and there is no dining table. You will marvel at all the tasteful decorations, books, games, and other thoughtful touches. The bed is super comfy too.We highly recommend The Charlestonian and would definitely stay here again.

Great place and very accommodating.

We had a wonderful stay and the location was ideal. Walking distance to restaurants and King Street. The decor was cozy and welcoming and the bedding was especially inviting. Would highly recommend!

Loved the stay. Had everything we needed to settle in and relax, and the design and decor were thoughtful and luxurious. Elizabeth met us with an incredibly warm welcome…thank you! The porch was amazing for coffee and books.

We are very picky travelers. We’ve stayed at the Charlestonian the past 4 times we’ve visited Charleston because our expectations are exceeded each time. The house is always very clean, well stocked with all we need, close enough to king street (just a quick walk), but far enough to feel a little secluded and tucked in. Plus we love eating at South Bound, which is just a few steps away from the front porch. We will keep renting at the Charlestonian because we feel like a better place doesn’t exist!

We had a wonderful 4 days at this place! The inside is even better than the pictures and it was really comfortable for two people. Tall ceilings, beautiful porch, two bathrooms washer/dryer, great working AC, wonderful location…this property had everything we could have wanted! We have stayed at 3 different properties when visiting Charleston and this was by far our favorite. My biggest complaint is that the front door uses a key fob and it is extremely difficult to open the door. It would often take close to 10 tries to get in…would highly recommend upgrading. One thing to note is that this unit was on the first floor and we could hear our upstairs neighbors all the time. Ear plugs worked well for my boyfriend since he is a very light sleeper but I’m a heavy sleeper and it even woke me up multiple times. Also, we had to reach out to the property manager the night we arrived to find out how to enter the property which was odd…expected him to let us know the day of. Luckily communication was great and we got a quick response. Overall this is a fantastic property and really well done. When we come back to Charleston we will try to stay at this property again!

Upon arrival key was exactly where we were expecting it, easy entry, opening door we were so delighted to see how amazing our little place was and very clean. Love that they went extra mile to provide coffee and fixing. They even had tide and dryer sheets if needed. Sheets and towels had monogram. They really covered all details! The property is perfectly locayed and easy safe walk to King Street. The onsitr restaurant Southbound was delicious and even featured Foie Gras from a feiends place by us in NY!! Highly recommend this as place to see Charleston

My husband and I had a weekend adventure in Charleston, we were greeted promptly by Elizabeth! Theo's location was so quaint and comfortable! Perfect for someone wanting to explore Charleston but not have the noose at night! The restaurant right next door closes at 10! Thank you for such a lovely weekend!!

We loved our stay here because it was in such a great location. We were able to walk everywhere. The area was clean and felt very safe. The home itself was adorable and met our needs for our weekend stay.

This property was great ! Beautifully decorated in a prime location . Bed and linens were very nice and comfortable . Loved the two porches as well !

In the middle of Cannonborough Eliotborough with lots of restaurants, shops, and bars a short walk away. Property literally sits behind Southbound restaurant which was fantastic.
