Stayed Apr 18, 2026Look no further for a wonderful stay in a very fun area of Florida! This property is so well maintained and Heron’s Hideaway is just as pictured- they thought of everything! Short walk to the Historic area of town with great food, live entertainment and shopping! Short drive to the beautiful beach! The hosts are wonderful and provided a lot of informative information about the area! Highly recommend the Ameilia River Cruise and visiting Clinch State park to see the fort and hunt for shark’s teeth on the beach! Palace Saloon and The Green Turtle for great live music. Salty Pelican also great food and cool vibe! T-Rays for breakfast was a hit with biscuits as big as the plate! Also Garden Bistro is a wonderful place for specialty dishes for breakfast! Will definitely stay here again and loved the outdoor area around the pool as it is so relaxing and beautiful!

Stayed Mar 16, 2026Heron Hideaway is little paradise! The location was perfect and the place itself is beautiful. Relaxing and so well done. We loved being there. The hosts are so kind and always available. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Fernandina Beach. We highly recommend this and would definitely come back here on our next trip to Amelia Island!

Stayed Mar 4, 2026This was one of the best vrbo rentals I have ever stayed in. It was clean, very well decorated, and well thought out. Our hosts were wonderful and available for questions. We were less than a mile from old town and all the Amelia/Fernadina hot spots. If we ever make it back we will seek this spot out as our number one choice.
