A beautiful apartment in the hills of Tuscany. A great place to stay in a quiet town with lots of places to explore (day trips) such as Lucca, Pisa, Florence. You will need a car to stay here. There are shops just a short walk away for essentials. There are also several restaurants in town. The views are magical and the apartment is spacious with everything you need.

It was a perfect stay! The flat is really nice and provided everything we needed. Whenever we had a question, Andrea provided us with an answer within a few minutes. He arranged a reservation in a restaurant or sent us a link to buy high quality olive oil. And his Mom was amazing. Although she spoke only Italian and we did not understand or speak an Italian, she was giving us such a warm feeling. Thank you for making our holidays a stay with friends!

We were made very welcome. Felt like a genuine experience of Tuscany. Wonderful village setting. Thank you Giuliana and Andrea. It was my wife's first visit to Italy for a special birthday and it certainly was special.

Staying at Andrea’s home was like being at home. We’ve been there for a month as a family of 4 and a dog. Guiliana is a wonderful woman who helped with all concerns. Cute Italian style apartment equipped with everything you need. It’s very quiet and peaceful in the area. If you’re looking for a place remote and in the mountains this is your spot! We stayed here in Monteverdi for a month with our two older kids (and our dog) and had an amazing stay - we didn't want to leave! The whole family is so warm and welcoming. They made us feel like family and helped us with anything needed. The town is in the hills about 30 min from the sea and it was so easy to drive to various towns, cities, and natural sights like the geothermal museum. We could easily walk to the grocery and restaurants within 5 minutes and enjoyed the local thermal baths (Terme Di Sassetta was magical) and the hikes as well. We also had the most fun making pasta with the family, which was such a special treat. We highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to explore the hill regions of Tuscany and the surrounding towns. We were able to do day trips to San Gimignano, Lucca, Florence, Siena, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Saturnia hot springs, and Volterra among others - they were all 1-2.5 hrs away. We loved our time in Italy and we love the people there - especially Andres, Tania, Dante, and Giuliana. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We hope to return one day.

We had a great time in the mountains of Tuscany not far from the sea with great beaches. The conversation worked really well. Andrea answered really fast via whatsapp (in English) and his mother (Italian speaking) solved every little quest we had immediatly. The flat has plenty of room and looks like we expected it from the pictures. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

The apartment was clean, big and everything works. Everything we need for daily life was there. The garden is big and beautiful with trees, an parasol and chairs to relax. The owner Andrea and bis family were very nice and always helpful with tips for the region and destinations to explore. Special thanks, to the mother Giuliana, who is living in the first floor, for her help in daily questions and made the staying familar. My family of 6 stayed for 2 weeks in April 2016 and had a great time.The house was fully equipped with all we needed and the location was central for visiting other areas of Tuscany. Would recommend this accommodation & Mrs Donati's hospitality.

Our stay was really good. We arrived to a warm welcome from Mrs Donati. The apartment is the ground floor of a 2 storey house. It is a good size and was just right for our family of 5. Whilst the apartment is in need of some updating - as the owner admits - it is fully equipped and we had everything we needed. When we asked about a couple of items we needed, such as a kettle, Mrs Donati went out and bought them for the apartment the next day. The fact that one of us spoke Italian made it really easy to converse with Mrs Donati who clearly enjoys having guests. It was really good value for our out-of-season stay. We would certainly stay another time.

Thank you Andrea and family for being so welcoming and helpful to us. We spent 10 days in this great location and felt that it was a real taste of Tuscany. The village of Monteverde is fantastic, only a 5 minute walk, with shops and cafes. Visited Pisa, Lucca (the cycle on top of the city walls was a highlight), Volterra and the Baratti coast. Would love to return one day.
