Stayed Sep 12, 2018A very picturesque view of the medieval Tuscan town of Loro Ciuffena and its quaint old bridge, the relaxing gushing of the fast moving stream below and a quiet, green location make this an ideal place to stay for a few days of relaxation. The apartment itself has been tastefully restored with every attention to detail. The balcony with its lovely view of the town was a wonderful place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Everything works perfectly and you'll find it is equipped with anything you may need. There are plenty of art and travel books as well. The owner is eager to please and very helpful. It is a short stroll to the town centre and there are plenty of fascinating sites nearby. Highly recommended.

Stayed Aug 2, 2017We loved the apartment, quirky and interesting decor, very comfortable and clean with a lovely terrace overlooking the village. Loro Ciuffenna is an old pretty little village with a couple of restaurants (fine for a three day stay) and small shops for food and hardware items if you happen to need them. No supermarket that we found but we didn't need it, we preferred the little shops in the village. There is a massive Coop 10kms down the road in Montevarchi if you need a big shop. There was a free concert in the village square on two of our three nights there in early August with a great communal atmosphere. The apartment is just as described and we were very comfortable and pleased with our choice. The only thing I'd say is that I wouldn't want to cook a big meal there, the kitchen is quite small, but more than fine for a couple of days. There is a river that runs through the village and you can walk a little way to the 'torrentes' to swim and lie on the rocks. It's really not a huge amount of water but you can get cool! The owner Pietro was exceptionally helpful, he replied to any questions rapidly and gave as all the details we needed beforehand. Although he couldn't meet us when we arrived he arranged for his father to meet us and show us the apartment and help us with bags. It was very hot (more than 40 deg every day) but inside the apartment was pretty cool even in the middle of the day. We just chilled!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This lovely, clean, immaculate Tuscany Pearl Apartment in the middle of it all yet totally quiet and relaxing is perfect for a romantic stay for any couple in love or fitting active family of 4. Spacious living room, romantic rustic bedroom with crispy clean linen, kitchen to cook your Italy inspired meal... and veranda with absolutely fabulous view of Loro Ciuffenna's picturesque beauty where you can relax any part of the day and enjoy strong Italian coffee. And it's right there in the middle of it all 20 mins outside Firenze, 45 mins to Pisa, Tuscany's beauty and must see towns all around... On top of it you can stroll to the plentiful selection of local restaurants occupied mostly with chatty and friendly locals, ice creme shop with great selection of heavenly Italian ice creme, biking right from you doorsteps, hiking in the local mountains (1548 m/5,078 ft), dipping in the refreshing fresh water stream of Fiume Ciuffenna River which is cutting thru the town creating deep canyons. The owners of this apartment are the sweeties people speaking fluent English and do anything for you! Can't ask for more right there 20 min south of Firenze with an easy ride right of the highway.
