The house is located 300 m from the center of Serralunga where the most beautiful medieval castle of all the Langhe and Roero stands majestically and imposingly, a territory rich in castles from different eras between 1200 and 1800. That of Serralunga had a specific military function as a sighting and defense fortress against the invasions of the Saracens. By virtue of its position, the house allows guests to visit the village of Serralunga on foot and to go to the various restaurants (at least 5) without using the car, which is particularly convenient and safe when you want to taste the famous wines of the area accompanying them to the delicious gastronomic specialties of which the territory is rich, including the famous Alba white truffle. Every year in October and November, the renowned white truffle fair which attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world is held in Alba, 15 km from Serralunga. Another locality not far from Serralunga is Bra where, every two years in September, the equally famous Cheese Fair sponsored by Slow food takes place, where the producers of the most famous and delicious cheeses from all over the world meet. For all these reasons, the Vigna del Parroco 2 represents an ideal point for food and wine holidays and not only, from spring to late autumn.
Not far from your apartments there are numerous paths for walking in the hills and vineyards or paths suitable for cycling to Roddino, Bossolasco (757m s. L.m.) Monforte, Diano d'Alba, Montelupo, Albaretto, Dogliani, Murazzano, Marsaglia, Mombarcaro (896 m a.s.l.) from which the Ligurian sea can be seen on sunny days.
. Happy Holidays from the team of the Vigna del Parroco 1 and 2

The unit was immaculate and the property manager very attentive. The views over the vineyards were incredible. It was 5 minuter walk to main piazza. It was extremely quiet and relaxing. The location had many restaurants of varying price range within 12-15 KM and there was a supermarket 6 KM away. The pool was well maintained. The only downsides were the satellite TV did not carry the normal Italian TV stations,i.e. RAI !,2 etc. and the town was so small that it was not possible to buy a coffee before noon and only if the hotel in the piazza was open. We definitely would return to this property if we were to pay another visit to this portion of the Langhe.

A lovely flat, equipped for most needs, (though no oven) and stunning views, especially from the rear terrace. The swimming pool is kept clean and is well-maintained, and even at the end of September I enjoyed several swims. This is an area above all for wine lovers and people who prefer unspoilt areas with relatively few tourists. The wine around here is some of the most expensive in Italy - Barolo - but you can get some good deals - we liked Anselma in the village square. Good restaurants - we loved Tre Case - within easy walking distance, so no fears about driving. Salvatore and Anna were kindness itself, checking several times that things were going well and providing extra pillows when I mentioned they might have been nice. We cooked for ourselves many evenings, though it was too late in the year (and the mosquitoes too hungry) for us to eat outside, as we did for breakfast and some lunches. We loved the Donkey Palio in Alba, the first Sunday in October, a wonderful mix of pageantry and humour - those donkeys know their own minds! We also really enjoyed driving round the countryside - you get to understand tornante (hairpin bends) very quickly, but it is truly beautiful. We didn't feel the need to go very far afield - there are many delightful villages and castles in easy reach. A genuinely relaxed holiday. Many thanks to Salvatore e Anna. Mille grazie!
