Holiday apartment in Hantum, Friesland – rural setting with a loft vibe

You open the door of Loft Moanne. Warm, cosy, full of atmosphere. The light falls softly inside. Your gaze drifts up to the loft. The wood-burning stove stands ready. You look around and think: this feels like home.

Between Dokkum and the Wadden Sea coast lies Hantum. Small, quiet, and just right. You could almost drive straight through without noticing, but the moment you stop you feel why people come here. The sky is wide. The silence runs deep in a way you had forgotten was possible.

Loft Moanne features an open living room with wood-burning stove, a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge and Nespresso machine, a luxurious bathroom with shower, toilet and hairdryer, and wifi and TV. On the loft level an electric kingsize boxspring awaits, adjustable exactly to your liking. The loft has its own entrance and access to the shared wooden terrace with views over the expansive meadows, the windmill of Hantum and the Stupa.

Thús yn Hantum is located in the northeast of Friesland, ten minutes from the historic town of Dokkum. The Wadden Sea is a fifteen minute drive, the National Park Lauwersmeer twenty minutes away. From Holwerd, just five minutes by car, you can take the ferry to Ameland. From Lauwersoog the ferry goes to Schiermonnikoog. Within walking distance of the loft stands a Buddhist Stupa, a peaceful spot in the middle of the Frisian landscape. The adjoining temple can be visited by appointment.

Treat yourself to a local breakfast, made with love by Marian. Fresh bread rolls, juice, yoghurt and fruit. End the day in the hot tub under a dark Frisian sky, or start the evening with a borrelplank and a glass of something nice. Here time is allowed to simply stand still.

Breakfast (€17.50 per person per day), borrelplank (€17.50 per person) and hot tub (€50 per evening) can be booked separately and are not included in the accommodation price.

Loft Moanne has its own entrance and is located next to Loft Sinne and the home of Joan and Marian. The two lofts share a spacious wooden terrace but each has its own entrance and privacy. Parking is easy next to the house. No car A bus stop is less than one kilometer away.
