The Wadden Sea is a fifteen minute drive, the National Park Lauwersmeer twenty minutes away. From Holwerd, just five minutes by car, you can take the ferry to Ameland. From Lauwersoog the ferry goes to Schiermonnikoog. Within walking distance of the loft stands a Buddhist Stupa, a peaceful spot in the middle of the Frisian landscape.
