Historic Haven in Church Hill in The Heart of the Historic District

Easily a better value than many local hotels. Parking was a dream, always available and immediately next to the apt. Easy access check in leads to a private and nicely kept garden. Poshly carpeted stairs framed by an antique wooden bannister and over a dozen arranged mirrors. Bed was posh, comfy and clean. Neighborhood was safe and quiet, walkable, and close to everything you could want. Will stay again and refer our friends!

This piece of property was beyond breathtaking and easily accessible. Additionally, this property was located amongst restaurants, bars, shops, and not far from Downtown. I would recommend this stay to anyone.

My new husband and I stayed in the unit for our small Wedding Weekend in Richmond. The furnishings were quite nice, and we loved the Church Hill location near Chimborazo Park! We could not keep our hands off the rich cookies left for us, European, I believe. The Champagne that greeted us in the gorgeous kitchen was an obvious nod to our nuptials - Thank you! The hallway deodorizer plug-in was alarmingly strong upon entry (sensitivities), but we unplugged it for the duration of our stay and managed fine ;-) Not sure why the bedroom window a/c is present if the central air is sufficient to cool the space - We assumed at first it was necessary and did not like the compressor on/off noise for sleeping, but found we slept WELL without its use :D The patio table was dirty, but we cleaned it to enjoy coffee and fresh-baked goods from across the street - do not miss the bakery!!! The Hill Cafe was very convenient and delicious!

Highly recommend booking this quaint apartment. The accommodations were great, everything as pictured. Loved the location, cleanliness, and clear instructions and quick access to host if needed. Books on area were appreciated and read. Interesting to learn about the history of the area. Be sure to eat at Hill Cafe, walking distance of apartment.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Beautifully decorated, well appointed and comfortable. Street parking was not an issue. We look forward to staying there again!

I have stayed in VRBOs since 2010 from Eastport ME to Oahu. This VRBO truly deserves 5 star rating as it is outstanding. The pictures represent the property exactly. I felt very much at home here and everything is well appointed. The host was fantastic - while staying here I experience Winter Storm Fern and the host was very helpful in confirming our parking was good and was able to accommodate an extra day when our flight got cancelled. Next time I am in Richmond I won't consider staying anywhere else.

Everything was great! The kitchen was absolutely beautiful and everything you may need. The host was great and answered our questions very quickly. We would definitely stay again!

Very nice place to stay. It was clean and nicely decorated. This is a great neighborhood with a wonderful park that has beautiful views (Libby Hill Park), wonderful cafe (Hill cafe), good coffee (Riverbend) and delicious Detroit pizza (Secret Square) etc. I would recommend this VRBO as a very nice place to stay for one or two people.

Beautiful historic house, remodeled beautifully, fine attention to details clean and Homie. The bed was very comfortable and everything you possibly could need.

The Haven was amazing! So cute, clean, and in a great location! Quick walk to the bus, or under 10 to Lyft to nearby museums/restaurants. We had a fantastic time visiting the Civil War Museum and attending Folk Fest.

House was immaculate. The location is prime. With a bakery next door and a park just blocks away you can't beat this location. We were 2 miles away from the riverfront venue we were in town for. The neighborhood is safe and quaint.

We came to town for a concert and this home turned out to be the perfect choice. The space was spotless, thoughtfully appointed, and very comfortable. The neighborhood is walkable with great restaurants very close. Parking was simple, and safe the bed provided a wonderful night’s rest. We loved our stay in Richmond! The location was perfect, with a wonderful restaurant just around the corner and lots of great suggestions from our host that made exploring even better. The apartment itself was spotless and so stylish—it really felt like a special getaway. We only wish we had arrived earlier to enjoy more time in the space, especially the beautiful kitchen, outdoor patio, and the short walk to the park. We’re already hoping to book again for future day or overnight trips to Richmond!

Gorgeously decorated historical home with endless attention to detail and oh, so squeaky clean!!Within moments of our arrival I proclaimed I COULD LIVE HERE!!Location was perfect for our visit with daughters. I can’t write this without mentioning the millwork, crown molding and trim….BEAUTIFUL!!

We loved staying here for one week. Everything was super clean, and we loved the welcoming space and private access. Definitely would return here & highly recommend. Good loaction in the neighborhood with street parking -sometimes had to walk a little from parking to the entry.

Comfortable and beautifully decorated upstairs apartment in a quiet neighborhood (fully separate from an attached main house). Amazing pizza right across the street at Secret Squares; order ahead. It was a great spot for walking and short drives to other parts of the city.

This second floor apartment brings modern convenience to the historic space. Everything works as it should, and the space is well appointed and very clean. Great neighborhood with several restaurants within a three-block radius. Good communication with David and simple access. Highly recommend.
