**Astoria is currently undergoing a construction boom all over town so there may be some construction noise during the day.

Step back in time and enjoy staying in the recently restored, iconic, Gilbaugh building and walk to all the best places to eat, drink and recreate in downtown Astoria. This well appointed, upper level 2-bd 1-bath flat boasts beautiful period architecture. Located in the historic district, it is 1 block from the Ft. George Brewery, Heritage Museum and a couple of blocks from the Maritime Museum, other breweries, Bowpicker, Riverwalk and many others.

Although close to everything, we maintain a quiet separation from the bustle of downtown in an area of historic architecture making the location perfect for your next Astoria visit. Commercially zoned, permitted and lovingly restored, this flat is maintained, owned and operated by Astorians. Our area serves a mix of both long-term and short-term tenants so we appreciate quiet respect for the neighbors. Park on-street and walk to everything.

This unit is located on the second floor, the stairs are shown in the photos (38 total stairs from street to unit).

This historic craftsman apartment is located in Astoria's historic district where a variety of beautifully restored Victorian, Mediterranean, Tudor and Craftsman homes and buildings can be seen. Our building also borders the location of the original 1811 settlement site as marked by a green stripe on the road.

The flat was perfect for my stay in Astoria while salmon fishing on the Columbia River. Spacious, well-furnished, and very comfortable, it felt like a true home base. The location downtown made it easy to enjoy the river views and nearby shops and restaurants. My host, Cynthia, was terrific — friendly, responsive, and very helpful throughout my stay. There was some construction in the neighborhood and access is up a couple of flights of stairs (as noted in the listing), but neither took away from the overall experience.A charming historic space with a great host — highly recommended for anyone visiting Astoria.

Great location, quick communication with Jake. Apartment is not as well supplied (dishes, towels, etc) as we hoped, especially at the rate charged.

Cute but somewhat dated. The extra bed in the sunroom was not as promised. The sunroom is actually outside the apartment and unsecured, also no blinds or curtains in that room. We did use it for reading, but the person planning to use that as their sleeping arrangements was quite disappointed and ended up in the living room. The bath is quite dated and was not as clean as preferred. Overall, it was a decent stay and within walking distance of several places we planned to visit. Good communication. Difficult admittance through the door even with all the specific instructions… Just change out the entry!

We truly enjoyed our stay, wished we had 3 nights instead of 2. Loved seeing all the Goonies sites and going to museums and touring the town. Being able to come back to such a comfortable, relaxing environment was clutch. The owners were very easy to work with and paid attention to detail. Lovely home.

The apartment was comfortable and convenient for walking to see the town and the water. Stairs and claw foot tub require some agility. Checkin and access was easy.

The place was great and quiet. Very clean and a great view. It could use a updated coffee maker. If you are not able to climb steps, this place will be a challenging. But for us it was just fine.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It had great views of the port and is walking distance to many restaurants, museums and shops. The beds were cozy and there were many windows to enjoy the fresh breeze. We plan to stay there again the next time we are in Astoria.

This place is so roomy and comfy and the vintage details and feel of the space made it such a charming spot to stay. And I loved how central it was. Couldn’t imagine a better location in Astoria. We were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go. The windows all opened to let a nice breeze in. I loved the little side sitting porch. I slept so well on the bed… the mattresses are firm but soft and I needed that. Also loved how the couch reclined making for a nice spot to watch a movie. We loved the place so much we already booked it again.
