Historic Downtown Flat, No. 2

Ideal for walking around the historic district, along the river walk, within blocks of great pubs and dining, marine and heritage museums. We felt immersed in the interesting and diverse history of Astoria’s people and the surrounding natural elements of the Columbia River. Flat is well kept and comfortable, pictures are accurate. It is an older building so you will hear people in flat above. There is a multistory building being constructed across the street so day time was noisy but we were off exploring so didn’t bother us. Evenings and weekend were quiet after workers left. Construction blocked off one of lanes on street and made parking tricky in front of the flat so we parked on side street. It seemed construction was near the finish so future rentals may not have those concerns. This made for a great base for exploring the city and the area. Hosts communicated well.

Nice views. Great location - short walk to restaurants, museums, trolley, etc. Interesting, spacious, older home with beautiful wood, built-ins. Could use a few upgrades and a little more tlc, but charming nevertheless.

Both of the hosts were communicative and very pleasant. The flat is both delightfully 'of it's era', and comfortably/tastefully appointed.

Nice place, walkable to everything

It’s got all the things we wanted: historic property (unique stacked flat), close to downtown (short walk to basically everything), reasonable rate. Couple drawbacks: no sound system for the tv, no dvd player remote, blinds in very poor condition throughout the unit.

overall clean and cool older place. Found women's underwear and a shirt on the closet floor, may want a better house cleaning service, to open the closets

Check in was smooth and easy. Cool older building, view of the river from the front window. Location was great! Close to everything. Check out Dead man’s isle. Very cool Tiki bar. Would stay again.

Great location, easy to walk to every thing.

Great place to stay and very conveniently located. There was construction across the street so initially it was difficult to find street parking. Once the construction workers left we were able to park right out front. Beautiful view and we had a family of mule deer (including two fawns) eating the flowers on the lawn. Very special.

The apartment had everything we needed. The location was outstanding…walking distance to 2 events we were attending, fun brewpubs, downtown shopping, and waterfront.

The property itself was absolutely clean and beautiful. The the flat that was reserved for us was immaculate very well maintained, and the hosts were delightful. The hosts were prompt and answering any questions or attending to anything that myself or my guests needed. They left the most fabulous binder that told us everything we need to know and then some about the places and people of Astoria and even an awesome story about the building that we were staying in. I would definitely stay with this place again and it was well worth the price I paid.

Came to Astoria for a girls weekend- this is the perfect location for walking everywhere. Had a great time. Making coffee is a bit of a chore, but there’s also a fantastic coffee shop just around the corner.

Perfect downtown shot gun apartment. Can be downtown, waterfront in 3 minutes walking. Quiet bedrooms as in back. Beware steps up from the road if you have mobility .problems.

The hosts made sure everything was provided that you might need for a fun stay especially on a rainy afternoon. Games, books, cozy throws, tea, coffee and comfortable furniture. We especially appreciated the historical details that were preserved and oh, gosh, how I would have liked a tour of the basement!

We loved our stay in this wonderful, historic flat. The view of the river with all of the ships was just perfect, even though a few blocks away, due to the elevation and downhill view. We could hear the trolley and even the sea lions (not loud, but off in the distance), which we loved. The flat itself is beautiful, roomy and well stocked and taken care of. Everything was walkable as well...plenty to see, shop, eat and drink, very close by. Hosts were easy to communicate with and answered our questions promptly, although we had no issues. Thank you for making your flat available for Astoria visitors.

Overall, a really nice place. It’s older, but big and well maintained. It has everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. It’s an easy walk to town and restaurants. I had to smile when I first walked in and discovered the old time push button light switches. Hadn’t seen those since my grandmother’s house. But they worked!

Super Clean, and fully stocked apartment. Location is incredible. You can walk to almost anywhere in minutes. Excellent communication with our host. Woke up to deer grazing next door. Loved this trip. Super happy with our experience. Would absolutely stay, and recommend this accommodation again. It was wonderful!

This property is wonderfully located and has everything you'll need. We did have an issue with making to much noise when we came home late one night even though we were talking at a reasonable volume. Unfortunately received noise complaint. If you are a light sleeper I maybe would consider ear plugs. Other than that this property is delightful.

Clean and comfortable with plenty of space to relax. Easy walk to downtown with interesting shops and variety of food options. Appreciated the good internet connection and YouTube Tv subscription.

The Riverview is as charming craftsman as the pictures. It is a short walk to downtown, the waterfront, and the Maritime Museum. I would recommend this place.
