Nestled in the hills and forest surrounding West Glacier, Montana, this log frame studio apartment is the perfect place for parties of two to relax after a day of hiking and exploring in Glacier National Park and the beautiful Flathead Valley. It is located at the end of the road for ultimate relaxation away from the crowds in and outside the park.

The studio is situated above a detached garage and is accessed via a private parking area and private entrance. There is a covered porchfeaturing two rocking chairs and a table - the perfect spot for enjoying your morning coffee. The living space offers a kitchen area with refrigerator; convection toaster oven that features bake, grill, and air fry functions; microwave; double-burner infrared cooktop; toaster; and a Keurig coffee machine. The unique live edge countertop holds a single basin, but a separate wash basin for dishes is also available for use. A small table and chairs is also provided for dining or playing games.

The studio has a queen size bed with memory foam mattress and seating area with a large television. Wifi is provided, allowing access to Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, etc.

The bathroom houses a full shower and toilet with plenty of shelving to hold all your personal items.

In addition to the private porch at the entrance, this studio features a Juliette balcony that overlooks the main driveway and an enclosed garden area where chickens roam, fresh fruits and vegetables grow among the flowers, and honeybee hives house our valuable pollinators. Our guests are welcome to help themselves to the garden's fruits and vegetables and to farm fresh eggs. Also seen from the balcony are the surrounding woods and the Belton Mountains, just inside Glacier National Park.

We are located within walking distance of Lake Five and less than 5 miles to the west entrance of Glacier National Park. The outdoor recreation opportunities are endless in our neck of the woods, from river rafting, hiking, rock climbing, star gazing, bike riding, swimming, and fly fishing, to exploring The Crown of the Continent: Glacier National Park. There are a number of golf courses nearby, and plenty of other opportunities to have fun while visiting West Glacier, Montana.

*Please note: as with most all properties in West Glacier and in close proximity to Glacier National Park, our property is situated nearby to railroad tracks. The railroad is an important and monumental part of the history of our area, and you can expect to hear the trains during your visit. We are separated from the tracks by other properties, and we have never had complaints from any guests about this, but we felt it was important to make potential guests aware of this. We provide fan(s) and portable A/C units that help to drown out the sound of the trains at night - we do not even notice them.

We love it here, and we are sure you will, as well.

Really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and a super comfy bed and couch in the loft. Being so close to the park was a huge bonus and the fresh eggs were really good. Bear spray, bug spray etc were all provided if you need them. No washer or dryer though so bring enough clothes for your whole trip.

We're really glad we chose Hiker's Rest for our trip to Glacier National Park. The cabin is very close to the park entrance. We timed it at less than 10 minutes! But, more important, it was very quiet and private, immaculately clean, and charming. The owners seem to have thought of everything. There was even a basket of fresh eggs from their chicken coops waiting for us (delicious!). We definitely plan to stay at Hiker's Rest again when we return to Glacier. I rarely write reviews, but we really think Hiker's Rest is a special place.

This is a really neat rental. It’s down a gravel road, in the woods on a hill, very peaceful. It is very close (minutes) to the west entrance of Glacier. Very cozy space, comfortable bed. Lots of kitchen amenities. Fresh eggs. The water does smell and taste like sulphur (Montana has a lot of volcanic history), but the brita filter pitcher solves that. Listing as stated. Owner was wonderful!! Very available for issues or questions. We did hear the train, but it didn’t bother me. Would stay here again for sure!

We had a relaxing stay. It was so convenient to the West Glacier Entrance. The bed is comfy and everything is clean and tidy. The farm fresh eggs were delicious. It was a great break from all the hustle and bustle of GNP. Had a wonderful time. We are hikers so we were gone all day and it was nice to come back to rest. The only think is be sure to bring your own body soap, hair shampoo and conditioner. We are used to these being supplied but we do bring our own so no worries. Again it was comfy and cozy.

We have only wonderful things to say about our stay. The owner thought of everything. Such a cozy and comfortable place to stay. It is so close to the park we were able to come and go throughout the day and even came home during the middle of the day a few times for a quick R and R and headed off again. We were sad to see our stay ending and if we ever make it back here again we will definitely be booking here again.

This little gem is a PERFECT spot for two people. The location is amazing and so very peaceful. Hosts Kristy and Jamie are fantastic and responded in a timely manner to questions we had. If this property is still open and you are going to Glacier....BOOK IT!

Perfect little cabin for your stay at Glacier. Just a few minutes from west Glacier, but far enough off the beaten path to feel relaxing a secluded. Having the fresh eggs, and fruit from the beautiful garden really topped it off. Would absolutely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hiker's Rest. The location is convenient to the west entrance of Glacier National Park, and it is located in a beautiful forest. Property has all the expected amenities. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars in all categories is that the check-in instructions through VRBO had incorrect information about the wifi. A quick check with the owners straightened that out. There is a white book with all sorts of instructions in the house, but that also wasn't mentioned in the VRBO instructions we received. But really, that was all easily overcome and we had a great stay. We would recommend this place to others.

Would definitely recommend this place! So close to the park entrance and really appreciated the little things like sandwich baggies and aluminum foil for us to pack up our lunch for a day in the park. We thought the bed was SO comfy too.
