Hickory Hideaway: Pet-Friendly Haven w/ Fire Pit!

Great host. Onsite and very friendly, but not intrusive. The space was cozy, clean and well equipped. No issues with anything provided.

The place was very nice. I wish the weather cooperated as to take advantage of the outside areas. They look very inviting. The inside while attractive is not user friendly. The furniture is very uncomfortable. Swap the futon (like a park bench) for a couch/loveseat, add a recliner and I'd stay here again. otherwise I'll find other accommodations when I visit my son 4-5 times a yea. I'm 60 and was alone

I love where it is located great little quiet neighborhood. I brought my dog and he loved the field to play frisbee. Very close to LR university also.

Great little space

Charlene was very accommodating and the place was very nice and comfortable. She also provided us an electronic welcome book that included her recommendations of places and restaurants to check out while we were there. The location was great and the view was beautiful. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area!

This space is located on a gorgeous piece of property. It is just the right size for my wife and I. It is very clean and the use of space is excellent. The host was awesome and made herself available. Would definitely stay here again!

Our experience was great. We came to visit with our new grandchild and the place was perfect. Very quaint and clean. The temps were very cold so we did not get to enjoy the back porch. I love that it was pet friendly and we were able to bring our pups with us. I even saw a deer in the wooded area behind the creek. We will definitely be back the next time we go to visit with my son.

Came to Hickory to visit my daughter who goes to Lenoire-Rhyne University. It was close like 5 minutes to the college. Had everything I needed. Next time I will try when the weather is warmer.

Everything you need, private, very convenient location, immaculate property.

Host was friendly and easy to communicate with. The house was as described. Close to stores and restaurants anda quiet neighborhood.

Located on the end of the street, the property is well landscaped with a creek running thru it. Access is easy, close to restaurants, fast food and grocery stores. Interior was very clean and has everything needed. We will stay again on return trips to the area

Great Host

The property is placed in a nice residential neighborhood and although the owner is on site, we only saw her once watering her plants. Charlene was pleasant and very helpful. The place has everything you need from cookware to coffee and even a washer and a dryer. It's posh and comfortable and I highly recommend.

The Hickory Hideaway was a perfect home base for the time I spent in the area. It was easy to find, clean and spacious, and well equipped with everything to make one's stay feel special. I particularly enjoyed the patio overlooking the stream. I would stay happily stay here again.

The host was very gracious and accommodating. The cabin had everything we needed. The patios and deck next to the creek was very nice.

We had a wonderful time! Everything was clean, convenient location yet tucked away in a nice quiet setting . The pool is surrounded by beautiful landscaping. This will be our destination each time we visit Hickory.

First off, Charlene is the best host! She is so kind-hearted and has made an amazing home to share with others. The Hickory Hideaway was a great place to stay as a small family (2 adults and an infant). The place was spotless and had all listed amenities plus a serene area to just relax after a long day or to enjoy a quiet morning. The kitchen was nicely stocked with many basics as was the bathroom. The pool was such a fun time! We spent many hours playing and relaxing there on this trip. The house was immaculately clean (which we greatly appreciated with a newly-crawling baby)! There are several gas stations, restaurants, fast food chains, and shopping centers in the area. Door dash also runs to this Vrbo. Don’t pass this one up!

First of all, this property is very private. Located at the end of a street, it is quiet and situated in a natural setting with a small creek running alongside it. The unit is adorable and well-appointed with everything you would need. The private porch in the back is just so peaceful with birds chipping and is just for you. I enjoyed sitting out there with my morning coffee and relaxing. The bath has a large walk-in shower and vanity. The bed has two nightstands and able plugs for phones etc. I discovered a storage area for clothes under the bed! The TV has every channel you can imagine and rotates 180-360 degrees! The sitting area is comfortable with interesting magazines and books to explore. The kitchen is condensed and well appointed with Kurieg, double hot plate, microwave, toaster oven, frig, and island. It, also, has W/D, an ironing board, and a small closet. It has 4 windows with shades, too. The addition of the use of the pool, private fire pit, and sitting area was a real joy! I will be back!

Quiet, comfortable one room ‘cottage’ with access to main house pool. 2 separate and private patios. Perfect for a single or couple. Easy access to everything around. Owner/host is a delight!

This was a very pleasant stay while I was traveling for work. The host is wonderful! Looking forward to staying here again in the near future.
