It penthouse is spacious and location is excellent.

My group of friends enjoyed the range of options for activities, dining experiences and shopping within an easy walking distance.

Location was great. Rooftop spa and views were amazing. A few downsides: we paid extra for the fold out bed to allow for an extra guest. However no bed linen was provided for this bed, so we all had to sacrifice a sheet each for a makeshift blanket. This was rough in the middle of winter. Also no towels provided for the additional guest. The iron didn't work so we had to buy one. There was zero internet service with the wifi. It is far slower than using your phone hotspot. The wifi will not even load a single app or movie on the smart tv. Another small detail, but things like no batteries in the main bedroom tv remote.Overall a good stay, but this lack of attention to providing a nice guest experience felt like a bit of a letdown for our family.

Bathrooms need fixing (no fall to tiles which means bathroom ends up flooded after use) and stays soaking wet (may be different in summertime). Could do with exhaust fans in bathrooms. Water seeps through closed windows which leaves a damp feeling in the house (again may not be an issue during summer). Also, either a leak or condensation issue coming from rooftop as water was found on stairs every day. Would be ideal to have a better light on rooftop. Overall, loved the stay and would recommend it to others.

Everything was exactly as per the accommodation description, the location was so convenient to everything in the main centre. The spa on the roof was a real treat. Unfortunately while we were there it was confirmed that the air con was not working and would need completely replacing. The managing agent was very responsive and provided a portable a/c unit and several fans. I don’t know if it was a particularly muggy week or the apartment just tend in the warmer side, but it was really quite uncomfortable to stay and particularly sleep without the a/c. Doors and windows open made no difference (apart from meaning the traffic noise was very loud). It was a shame as it really made a negative impact to what was otherwise a very lovely place.

Reviewer Comments: Property has a foul smell , kitchen garbage bin foot opening broken, main bedroom carpet dirty, middle bedroom carpet wet near window, aircon not working, dining table two chairs cushions broken, Irresponsible staff, totally unprofessional. They couldn’t fix aircon first night, told us to sleep with open windows, second whole day without aircon, than again they said sleep with open window for second night, this is something we can’t accept. We didn’t paid for sleep or staying without aircon. We didn’t have any choice so we left property on second evening.

Plenty of room, the rooftop spa and view were fantastic.

Great location close to everything, property could use abit of maintenance, bbq wasn’t clean & the ducted air conditioning smelt

Booking this apartment was the most convoluted process I have ever experienced involving three different entities (Stayz/Escapia/Stay Port Stephens). Making the booking required a 50% up-front payment, a $1,000 deposit (refunded after the stay) and the completion of a guest agreement that needed confirmation of the age of all guests and the upload of an image of a credit card which was challenged when I provided a redacted image (to protect my security). The arrival and departure procedures involved multi-step processes to unlock one box, to access another to then gain access to the apartment. The unit itself was presentable and has recently been painted throughout and new blinds installed. You don't need to look too hard before the cracks start to show. This may have been a luxury apartment when it was built some 24 years ago, however the kitchen and bathrooms are showing signs of their advanced age, the showers both leak and result in a river of water running into the middle of the bathroom floors. The kitchen appliances are worn and there isn't a matching set of crockery, cutlery or glassware, just the remains of previous sets. The apartment would benefit from a deep clean. The rooftop terrace was a complete let down. The BBQ was barely clean, the sun beds are disintegrating and the spa is so old with broken grills and jets that it needs to be replaced. All of these things are unacceptable especially when this apartment is being marketed as 'luxury accommodation'.

This unit was in good location. But that is it! The unit was dirty. Bathrooms were full of mould . The ceiling in main bathroom was covered in mould. The shower leaked into hall way & wet the carpet.there was no remote for TV in the main bedroom. No blind in the ensuite & still hair on the floor in the shower & near the toilet from previous users. The second bedroom blind was broken. The sliding doors wouldn’t lock. They were broken. The spa area was filthy. Rubbish & mould everywhere . Lounging & cushions were dirty. Then to top it off we had to strip the beds before we left. . Never in all my travels had we had to do this p, especially after paying a service cleaning fee. My advice is to steer clear of this place. Plenty of other options nicer, cleaner & better pricing. The owners of this property need to step up & fix these issues & give this unit some TLC ! I’d like to add photos to this review, but no option!
