REPRESENTATIVE RENTERS' QUOTES:
“I just wanted to let you know that Julie and I had a great time and Santa Fe and really enjoyed the apartment. Thank you very much for everything. It’s a great place. We also took your recommendations and went to La Choza and Café Sena, and hiked the Ataleya trial. It all made for a great vacation for us.
Again, thank you.”
Best regards,
Pete

“We really had the best time and will be in touch about coming back next year.
Is there anything you would like me to do before we leave
Thank you again, we really had a great time!”
Fondly,
Marylyn

“We've been in a bit over a week and I haven't yet thanked you for your kind note and lovely bottle of wine - thank you for such a nice welcome!
Anyway, this photo was taken the day we arrived as we were about to set out on our first walk. Bear had been in the car for 3 days; he was ready to go! We've been on many outings since with his favorite being off leash on the many mountain trails full of other happy canines.
We love the house and its many charms. I feel like I'm just getting to know it, now that things have finally quieted down. I'd love to know the history of it if you get the chance.
Hope this finds you well and, again, thank you for everything.”
Lisa

“I've been enjoying the house, and Santa Fe's great fall weather-
I'm going to hate to leave.
I hope everything is going well with you all!!
Happy Halloween!”
Philip

“Thank you. What a wonderful house you have! We certainly want to come back. There is so much that we did not get to do. We are eagerly anticipating a return trip.”
Janet

“We have enjoyed our time here very much. Living in this neighborhood has given us an entirely different Santa Fe experience than we have had in the past. I have explored the area and learned my way around town, which has been a lot of fun. All in all, it has been delightful. I hate to go home where the heat has been over 100 for a long time- 110 yesterday! Thanks for sharing your lovely space.”
Ginger

“The stay was very enjoyable. We were wondering if your place is free in Aug. If so we would be interested in renting it”shaded by an old honeylocust tree.“

My dog and I stayed here for a month and it was just perfect for us. Honestly.. the pictures don't do it justice. It was charming, spacious, comfortable, and relaxing. The skylights and windows made such a nice bright environment. The bed was SO comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for making meals. The backyard space was convenient as heck and a great place to look at the stars at night. The location was walking distance from Canyon Road and a little grassy park. Chris was super friendly and responsive to anything I needed and the neighbors who live on the property (no shared walls - everything still felt very private) are sweet and helpful as well. I would 10/10 both recommend this spot.

Loved staying in this house and this neighborhood! The old adobe walls and great windows kept us cool w/ our fans every day of our stay. Marie my labradoodle loved the back patio and her walks to the water park, along the river, canyon road and evening walks to see the sunsets….just a perfect month!

We loved our stay at this perfectly located two bedroom adobe that also offered art fully decorated common spaces. If you love history, beauty, and access to both cultural and natural offerings in the Santa Fe area, you will find it equally wonderful.

Our stay at Christine's house was absolutely wonderful. As a couple (and dog) moving to Santa Fe, it was a perfect home base for getting to know the city - and if it wasn't so popular, we would love to rent it long-term. The location, in the historic east side, a short walk from the galleries and restaurants of Canyon Road, is ideal. It's an easy walk to the Plaza and downtown, a quick drive to shopping and groceries. There are numerous great hiking trails within a mile or so. If you want to spend a month or more in Santa Fe, this is the perfect place to be. The house is spacious yet cozy, with wood-burning kiva fireplaces in the living room and both bedrooms, a great king-size bed, and beautiful, artistic details everywhere. The huge, lovely flagstone patio is great for enjoying the fresh air or firing up the grill. The kitchen is large and well-stocked, with lots of counter space, good appliances and a big, unique dining table. The gated front entry, set way back from the street and beautifully landscaped, lends the whole place a very private feel. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, and has been a HUGE help to us as we get to know the area. The property manager, who lives in a nearby casita, was also wonderful - very responsive when we had questions or requests, and always great to chat with. The reviews here really say it all - this is not just a nice vacation rental, it's a real home away from home. Like Santa Fe itself, we can't recommend it enough.

Spending a month in May at what I feel like is my New Mexico Casita is what I look forward to every year. The kitchen is spacious enough for me to set up as my printmaking studio with an etching press and still room to have dinner. With two bedrooms I also have room for any guest that might pass this way. The bathroom has a beautiful tiled tub and shower and two sinks makes it extra nice. There are windows throughout to open and let the New Mexico breeze in. Skylights in the living room adds extra light. A fireplace in both bedrooms and one in the living room makes for a warm homey feel. The large patio is great for that morning coffee. Now to the front yard. Cactus and lots of flowers, (wish I could name them but that will have to be next time). The location is close enough to Canyon Road Galleries and restaurants that you can easily walk. I would highly recommend Chris’s Casita to anyone who wants to explore Santa Fe and all of New Mexico. Working with Chris is like working with a friend. She responds quickly and wants you to have the best time while in Santa Fe.

This was my husband's and my first visit to Santa Fe, and we did not want to leave at the end of the week. Chris's casita was perfect for us--charmingly decorated and comfortably appointed, extremely quiet at night, light-filled during the day (loved the skylights!), with a comfy king bed in the Master bedroom, a spacious eat-in kitchen, and a cozy living room with a kiva fireplace that we enjoyed several times. The house is even more spacious than it looks in the photos. And the location was so convenient, especially to Canyon Road's galleries and restaurants. From the first communication, Chris was extremely helpful. We ate at many of the restaurants she recommended, all great, and visited local museums as well as driving to Taos one day (highly recommend!). This was one of our best VRBO experiences ever. We plan to return to Santa Fe, and we hope to stay again in what we are now calling our casita.

This comfortably furnished casita is unusual in that it gets more light than many Santa Fe homes, so the sunshine streams in all winter long, yet the thick adobe walls keep it cool in hotter weather. It has all the amenities you need for an extended stay. The location is accurately described as 'walk anywhere.' We lived there without a car and enjoyed the easy access on foot to coffee shops, galleries, museums, and the downtown plaza area, as well as Dale Ball trailheads for hiking in the hills. The casita is on a very quiet street, and there is no traffic noise at all. The separate bedrooms allowed for privacy to relax or work, and yet there is a spacious openness to the living room, kitchen/dining room areas that give the house a warm, connected feeling. Chris is a responsive and friendly landlord whose concern that guests have all they need for a pleasant stay is paramount. I highly recommend this casita for a visit to Santa Fe of days, weeks, or months. It is delightful in every way.

This was my second stay at this casa. I had such a great experience one year ago that I wanted to stay for a whole month this time around. The house is like a home away from home. When I walked in it was like coming home. The house is well appointed, art filled and very clean. It is very quiet and private. This time around I was able to meet Chris who is the owner. She had many great ideas on places to go for sightseeing, meals and entertainment. The house is very close to nice little pubs and Canyon Road galleries. If you have never been to Santa Fe before this is the perfect place have a home base. I will return!
