Great stay!

Convenient to Seward. Really nice property with some thoughtful extras including home made cookies and firewood provided for fire pit. Nice outdoor area for relaxing.

Just a one night stopover stay and it worked great for that but it would also be a nice spot to spend several days. The wife and daughter really enjoyed the steam shower. 🙂

Kindest property owner we’ve ever met. Horseshoes and other outside games. We enjoyed the fire pit and an eagle visit.

This is the perfect Alaskan property. It’s as quaint and endearing as an Alaskan get away can be. The hosts are very accommodating. I would highly recommend this property. Thanks for having us and we will definitely be back.

Lona (the owner) is terrific, very friendly knowledgeable and ready to offer help or advice. Of course we loved her cookies, but her helpfulness and perfect balance between seeing that we had everything we needed and giving us our space was even better. We felt like we lived in Seward for those too short days and it's a fun place to live!

Lona was a great host. She came over and introduced herself and brought cookies. We loved the firepit and view. The location to Seward was awesome. She told us about the bear weir so we went and saw that. She was full of information. We had a great time. Let us use the freezer after we checked out for our fish.

Lorna and Dean personally welcomed us, and were available when we couldn't figure out how to lock up. Their place is comfy, and has so many wonderful decorations, and kitchen gadgets. Lorna even had coffee ready for me. That was a great and special touch! Wish we could have stayed for a week. Thank you.

Great place convenient location for exploring, Very well equipped kitchen also games outside. We are a retired couple but plenty of room for small family. Definitely recommend 5 stars

Extraordinary value for the money, at least at the time of year that I visited (late winter). It's basically a fully furnished 2 bed, 1 bath apartment with full kitchen and laundry appliances. Very clean, comfortable, plenty of space, and all the things you'd need for any length of stay. I've stayed at a lot of places in Seward and this is the best of the bunch.

The host was great, the house wonderful, and in great proximity to many things to do. I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was amazing! We enjoyed the everything about our stay from our welcome message and homemade cookies to the beauty of our surroundings with the amazing views from the back porch with our morning coffee (also a perk). The home had very comfortable bedding, full kitchen and laundry options that were also included. We couldn’t have chosen a better place, absolutely phenomenal!!

The apartment was perfect! Cozy and clean, tucked away off the highway but close enough for easy travels. We were within an easy driving distance for so many things! Lona was an absolute delight and thought of everything! Would highly recommend and would stay again!

My wife and I stayed for two evenings and loved our time there. The host was wonderful and the location was beautiful inside and out. Be sure to wake up early to watch the mountains greet you from the darkness as the sun rises. The property is well taken care of and shows so much love. I’d love to be back already!

Our stay was very comfortable and the host was very welcoming! The location is perfectly located just outside of Seward harbor. The coffee stationed was stocked and the kitchen provided all the utilities we needed. We would stay here again!

Overall, this is one of the nicest units we've rented from VRBO, It was well stocked (there was coffee already waiting in the coffee pot, hot chocolate, tea, etc.), including any appliances one could wish for. The decor was marvelously cute, and the unit was filled with all sorts of interesting knickknacks (i.e., it didn't feel like a rental). The owner was terrifically responsive both to messages and phone calls. The unit included use of the yard, with a BBQ, outdoor games, etc. The beds and furniture were comfortable, and the location just a mile or so out of town was very convenient. The only drawback was that the layout of the unit was a little challenging, particularly since we were a family of four. The ceilings in the unit are below standard height -- they're about 6'4 high, and as someone who is 6'3, I often brushed against the ceiling if I walked with bounce in my step. I also hit my head several times on the door frames (all of which are only 6'1 off the floor) and the light fixture in the bathroom. The loft, where my kids stayed, had a ceiling that was only 4' high; my son couldn't even be upright on his knees without hitting his head, and the mattresses there were on the floor because there was not enough height for a bed. Fortunately, my kids found the loft as being like a camping adventure. The master bedroom was only about 1 ft larger in each direction than the queen bed, which means we had to store our luggage in the living room. Hence, 4 stars

We loved our stay! It’s located about 5 minutes from Seward, in a very quiet spot with a beautiful backyard and a cozy cabin interior. It comfortably fit 4 adults.

This was a great place to stay while visiting Seward. It is stocked with everything you could possibly think of, was clean, and has a steamer sauna in the shower. Lona is super welcoming and left homemade chocolate chip cookies for us. Highly recommend!

It was a short stay, but the location was perfect. Lona was very gracious and a lot of fun to chat with. The location was perfect and the grounds are very clean.

A really cute and clean little place. The host was so accommodating and her cookies were so cute and delicious! It’s a little bit out of town so you get the experience of the Alaska wilderness while being close to shopping and restaurants.I would highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Fisherman's Get Away. Everything we needed was provided. It was lovely to be able to do our laundry and after a damp, cold day on the water the shower and steamer was amazing!

This was a perfect place for our family of four. Perfect location, away from the bustle of town. Such a gracious host and so responsive to our requests. Every amenity you have at home was here. The kitchen was amazing and had everything you could need including the little things like plastic wrap and foil. It’s the little things that matter and this place had them all!

The property was amazing. When you aren’t out and enjoying Alaska you can keep the fun going here! They have a great area that has all the camp fire games and amazing firepit. I could come and just stay here a week! The host is fantastic and all around just had an amazing experience. Highly recommend!!

We stayed two nights here while exploring nearby hiking and taking a day cruise with Kenai Fjords tours. I would love to come back and stay longer as this cabin was roomy and well equiped.

The Fisherman’s Getaway was a great place to stay. Speedy communication, spotless, so cozy and comfortable, convenient and quiet location, had everything we needed and more, plus homemade cookies! Don’t let the fact that it’s not actually in Seward deter you. It’s only a couple minutes drive, and even closer to the road to Exit Glacier hike (also recommend 10/10). The ceilings in the bedroom and bathroom are shorter than standard but that was not an issue for us being all under 6 feet. There are even more amenities than listed, like an air fryer and crock pot. It was the most well stocked rental I’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the well stocked guest house nestled at the foot of the beautiful Seward mountains. Clean and comfy. I highly recommend this place. A few miles out of Seward.

Cozy spot just outside of town but still very close to everything. Small but well stocked kitchen. The cookies were so nice and yummy!

As we had an event packed weekend, the place provide me and my two son's a place to relax and be away from the hotel environment. Great place for a couple or as it was for me, parent and children, it provided well. Well stocked cookware and utensils. On my next little retreat (i live in Anchorage, Ak) i may pick this place in the future Cheerios
