Rolleville, Exuma
Beautiful 1 bedroom with 2 double beds. Nestled among hundreds of beautiful palm trees on miles of white sandy beaches and blue green water, makes for one of the most spectacular views imagine. This is the view that you will see staying at the Bayinn along with beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Besides the view the neighborhood is a quiet quaint settlement sitting on a hilltop with kind friendly people.
The place is great and the owners treated me like family. I recommend everyone to stay at this place and enjoy the best that Exuma offers. Don’t forget about weekend nights at Cabanna Bar, Ms. Betty excellent cuisine and Mr. Marvin’s conch salad. I had a great time and will definitely come back.
Although we were having a hard time looking for dining around the area, the hosts offered to make meals and there’s also a restaurant 3 minutes away so it wasn’t too bad. The beach is beautiful and the pig island is near so you can kayak. The apartment was very clean and the host were very helpful and friendly. Thank you Betty and Margaret :)
We found this place by chance and yes we can corm that this is Exuma's best kept secret :). We were there in mid-August and were surprised that we had an almost a private beach! Being able to swim and tan naked proves that this is secret place. Great hosts and beautiful landscape. Coconut trees and what not! All you can imagine for an exotic get away. You can even take a boat to a small island nearby where there are no one else other than yourself. Our only complain was about the conditions of the apartment. It could be better cleaned and maintained. Other than that, it is a dream place and we are planning to go back as soon as we get a second chance. There is nice tavern, and a couple restaurants where you can get some delicious local food. Make sure you try the Conch Salad!
We had a lovely 3 days at Betty’s place. It’s right on a gorgeous beach. The accommodations were basic but clean and comfortable. We enjoyed meeting people at the Cabanna bar and loved feeling like we were staying in a local Bahamian community instead of a touristy resort. It really gave us a chance to experience the warmth and friendliness of Bahamian culture. Betty and her sister were always available to assist and we had a chance to relax and chill with gorgeous weather and swimming.
This place was a good stay. Away from the busier area. Right on the beach. The hosts were amazing and made us feel welcomed. I will definitely be staying here again.
A big room with 2 beds a fridge and microwave. No covers or extra pillows, just a fitted sheet and sheet. Ants in bathroom. No breakfast at cabana as stated. Kids with sticks was hitting stray dog on property where my husband was laying in chair on beach and dog became angry and started snipping at my husband out of fear. No shampoo. Found a travel bottle of conditioner. Sliding door broken, very hard to open and close.no coffee pot. Large family lives here. A little bit more rustic than expected. Everyone friendly.
First off, Betty and her family are absolutely amazing! They made us feel so welcome and safe the entire stay. Our room was clean, nice and provided everything we needed for our stay! Location is great with an amazing beach just steps away. Kayaks were available, the cabana had amazing food and drinks. No reason to even leave the area. We will be back!
Miss Betty made us feel like part of a family for a few days. Really the most lovely and authentic stay we could have dreamed of. The property is super clean, spacious and RIGHT on the beach. It’s truly a hidden gem and made this stay EXTRA special. Miss Betty and her family are really the best hosts and would recommend the stay to everyone
Walked right out to the beach. Weather was beautiful. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. We were treated like family. Would go back again and again. Loved it.
This home away from home is a small apartment with full kitchen among other family owened homes and apartments. Betty the host is wonderful and runs a kitchen beside a full beach bar where a handful of locals frequent. We had everything we needed, even a rental car and the whole beach to ourselves! Absolute Paradise for those not looking for a crowd. It was Perfect.
Awesome people...Ms Betty, Ms Margaret and Ms Terry...all great people. Oh yeah...Mr Amos the bartender was key. Great place...water and beach could not have been better.
Thank you Betty, Margaret & Amos. They made our stay amazing. We loved the place, people, location and their food. So looking forward to come back!
If you are looking to unplug and experience a quiet as well as an absolutely beautiful area of the Bahamas then this is your place. Theres a restaurant/bar on premise with a fairly limited menu however there's a few other dining options within a couple miles. There's a local conveince store S&L where you can pick up enough to make some meals in the room however plan on brining up some food if you're going to be staying for more then a couple days. The grounds are very nicely kept and the employees and locals are very friendly. With exuma point about a 10 minute drive away this is a fantastic location to setup shop to explore the norther part of great exuma Visitor tip - keep your eyes around Martins lodge when driving to exuma point beach. You might see one of those 4 legged animals that exuma is famous for...Im guessing he probably made the swim across or a storm possibly blew him over when he was young?
Property is on the beach with a bar next door.
Hosts were perfect. Beach was truly one of the top 10 beaches we have ever been to. Walked for miles on gorgeous white sand and tropical Bahamian blue green water everywhere. Accommodations we’re old and worn , bed was very comfortable, air conditioning worked and bathroom was clean. We spent all three days at the beach. Within a block, short walk on the beach, was a beachfront bar and cafe which served lunch, dinner and drinks and was very good. Also could get dinner from our hosts which we did one evening and it was good too.
